I.T Infrastructure
The Information and Communication Technology Services (ICTS) Department at AVV Coimbatore ensures the provision and maintenance of reliable computing and network facilities. This department oversees all computer labs on campus, equipped with the necessary resources for students' academic needs.
Library Services
The AVV Coimbatore library houses an extensive collection of resources, including books, e-journals, e-books, conference proceedings, and digital databases. The centrally air-conditioned library can accommodate 170 users, with 100 simultaneous digital connections available. The VIDYA digital library offers a plethora of e-resources across various disciplines accessible via the intranet.
Sports Facilities
The Coimbatore campus offers a diverse range of outdoor and indoor sports facilities. These include hockey, badminton, cricket, football, table tennis, weightlifting, basketball, tennis, and many more. The campus also features modern synthetic and cement tennis courts.
Gym Facilities
The campus boasts three well-equipped gyms featuring pride bicycles, treadmills, elliptical cross trainers, multi-gyms, and more to cater to students' fitness requirements.
Swimming Pool
The campus houses a 50x25-meter swimming pool with a capacity of 2.4 million liters. It meets international standards and has been used for CBSE South Zone competitions. A toddler pool is also available for warming up.
Guest Accommodation
AVV Coimbatore offers a guest house with 20 AC rooms, 4 AC suites, 20 non-AC rooms, a conference hall, and a dining facility. This venue is ideal for hosting board meetings, conferences, and seminars, providing comfortable lodging for visitors.
Medical Facilities
The 'Amrita Dispensary operates round-the-clock within the campus, catering to students, staff, and villagers. Staffed with three doctors and eight nurses, the dispensary offers basic medical care, a pharmacy, and essential medical equipment. For cases requiring specialized care, referrals are made to nearby hospitals. The dispensary also houses two ambulances for emergencies.
Hostel Facilities
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, offers on-campus hostels for students. In the boys' hostels, postgraduate and final-year undergraduate students are provided with single-occupancy rooms. Each room is equipped with solar water heaters for hot water supply. Additionally, each hostel boasts a dedicated sports room.

Admissions at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham 2024: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (AVV), Coimbatore, invites applications for its undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs through both merit and entrance-based criteria. Prospective students can apply online through the AVV Coimbatore website. For admission to the B.Sc Agriculture Hons program, candidates are selected based on the Amrita Entrance Examination (AEE) conducted by the university. Admission to the B.Tech program is determined by AE/JEE Main scores. For the MBA program, candidates' entrance exam scores from CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT/GRE are considered. For Ph.D. admissions, candidates undergo an entrance exam conducted by AVV followed by a personal interview.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Placement
The university's placement cell conducts a range of training sessions to prepare students for job placements. On average, eligible students who participate in placements receive more than one job offer. The university strengthens its industry-academia ties through regular visits, interactions with top management, and organizing Faculty Development Programs, student visits, industrial training, and project guidance as part of its Corporate Action Plan. In 2019, many of our students secured paid internships during their PG programs with renowned companies like Schlumberger, Microsoft, Intel, and Daimler. These internships typically last between six months to a year and often lead to permanent positions within these companies. The median monthly stipend for these internships was INR 25,000, with the highest reaching INR 80,000 per month.
