National Institute of Industrial Engineering, formerly National Institute for Training in Industrial Engineering, is a graduate business school under the Ministry of HRD, Government of India located in Powai near Vihar Lake in Mumbai, and was ranked 12th among B-Schools of India as per NIRF 2020 rankings.
Founded in 1963, the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (also known as NITIE) is a government management institution located in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Interdisciplinary research jells with the need of society at large and corporate and academia alike. It was ranked 12 in the "Management" category by NIRF 2021. Additionally, it was recently ranked 68 in the world and 3 in India in Goal 8 of SDGs by The Impact Ranking 2021. NITIE Mumbai has been recognized as one of India's IvyLeague BS Schools for 5 decades by MHRD.

Residential Accommodation
PGDIM, PGDIE, and PGDISEM are residential programs, and then stay in a hostel helps develop group dynamics between students and broaden their socio-cultural horizons. The hostels are truly one of the best in the country. All rooms are well furnished for individual use with an attached bathroom.
The Library
The NITIE Library is enriched with intellectually stimulating collections of technical books, reference works, journals (print and online), electronic databases, educational software, and more. in industrial engineering, management, and related disciplines. As the Institute has a residential campus, the library plays a vital role in providing information to staff, officials as well as students. The purpose of the NITIE Library is to facilitate the creation of new knowledge through the acquisition, organization, and dissemination of knowledge resources and through the provision of value-added services. The library's total collection is approximately 82384 which includes hardcover technical/reference books Magazine volumes, light reading books (in Hindi, English, and Marathi), and free books.
Auditorium
NITIE houses a fully air-conditioned auditorium with a capacity of 200 seats. The auditorium is acoustically designed and used for lectures, management film screenings, and executive development programs.
Classrooms
Classrooms are spacious and specially designed to facilitate participatory learning. They are equipped with all necessary presentation facilities such as overhead projectors and screens.
Sport
Physical education is strongly aimed at improving the physical and mental health of each player. This results in the development of dynamic personalities. Sports activities and achievements have helped many people get better job opportunities. The clean area with the natural gift of fresh air is an inspiring resource, motivating the player to perform better. Sport has the same weight as academics. All sports activities are encouraged by making all facilities available when students participate in intercollegiate, intra-college, and other tournaments. The victorious university teams have won all major sporting events in Tamil Nadu including the Anna University Interzonal Sports Championship.
Leisure Facilities
Facilities are available for various sports such as badminton, table tennis, basketball, volleyball, carom, cricket, etc. These facilities guarantee the good health and physical fitness of our future managers. Spending quiet time and relaxing are some of the ways to relieve stress. The hostel's common room takes care of this with a good music system, television, and reading material for leisure.
