JEE Main 2024: Introduction

JEE Main 2024: Overview

Important Conditions and Latest Changes in JEE Main 2024

1. Two sessions will remain the same as in JEE Main 2023, i.e., two sessions (April and May sessions).
2. There will be negative markings for sections A (MCQs) and B (numerical value questions).
3. Candidates are to download and install the SANDES app on their smartphones. This is a secondary channel for receiving notifications from NTA.
4. The application process has been slightly modified so that applicants can fill out the form easily and in smaller sections. While registering for the exam, initially only Session 1 is visible, and candidates can only select it. Registration for session 2 will open later.
5. A mandatory field in the JEE Main 2024 application form is to fill in the family’s annual income, including the father’s or guardian’s yearly gross income, the mother’s gross annual income, and the parent’s annual income from other sources, if any.
6. On registration time, students can choose their exam cities based on their permanent and present addresses. 
7. During the registration process, candidates should enter the OTP received at their registered mobile number or e-mail address just before submitting the application fees.

JEE Main 2024 Application Process

NTA concluded the JEE Main April session registration on March 4, 2024. The authorities updated the JEE Main application form link at jeemain.nta.ac.in 2024.
