What is NEET PG?

NEET PG (National Eligibility with Entrance Test for Post Graduation) is conducted to enable admission to various MD (Doctor of Medicine)/MS (Master of Surgery) and PG Diploma courses across the country. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) conducts the exam once a year by computer. The marks are also used for admission to the MBBS DNB degree course. The exam has 13,649 MS seats, 26,168 MD seats and 922 PG diploma seats offered by various medical colleges in India.

NEET PG 2024 Exam Pattern

Candidates must know the NEET PG Exam as it will help the candidates to prepare. NEET PG Exam contains information about the exam paper which includes format, medium, question number, duration and scoring system. NEET PG 2024 will be conducted online. The question paper has 200 multiple-choice questions which candidates have 3.5 hours to answer. A negative mark is given in the exam. For each correct answer, the candidate receives 4 points, and for an incorrect answer, one point is deducted.

NEET PG 2024 Admit Card

Candidates are advised to check all the details from the NBE official website after downloading the hall ticket. Candidates must print a copy of the admit card and attach a recent passport-size photograph with it. The admit card should be kept till the end of the admission process. 1. A photograph of a minimum size of 35 mm x 45 mm and covering at least 75 percent of the applicant's face and head
2. At the bottom of the photograph, there is an inscription with the applicant's name and the date the photograph was taken.
3. The photo must be taken with a white/very light background
4. The photo must be printed on good quality paper with a resolution of at least 600 dpi
5. Color appearance and skin tone should be natural
6. Photo should not have folds, scratches or stains
7. Photo with reflections or shadows on red eyes of the face should be avoided

The NEET PG 2024 result will be declared as the merit list with the candidate roll number, marks (out of 800) and rank. Based on NEET PG 2024 score, 26,168 Doctor of Medicine (MD), 13,649 Master of Surgery (MS), 922 PG and 1,338 DNB CET seats are admitted.
