Akal University is a private university in Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda, India.[1] It is set up by Kalgidhar Society.It was established in 2015 under The Akal University Act, 2015 (Punjab Act No. 25 of 2015). Unlike most of the educational entities having commercialized the higher education by operating like business ventures, the Akal University has mandated to uphold the three basic principles of higher education namely; Teaching, Learning and Research. Consequently, the University has started with Undergraduate and Postgraduate Honours courses and Ph.D programmes in basic sciences and languages namely Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Psychology, Economics, Commerce, English and Punjabi.
