Sri Balaji University is an institution of excellence in Pune. The university is running under the able guidance and leadership of its founding father and Chancellor, Prof. Dr. (Col). A. Balasubramanian. The university at present has four management institutions: Balaji Institute of Modern Management (BIMM), Balaji Institute of Telecom Management (BITM), Balaji Institute of International Business (BIIB), and Balaji Institute of Management and Human Resources Development (BIMHRD). Apart from these four institutions it also has a law college – Balaji Law College (BLC) and an Undergraduate and Graduate level college namely – Balaji College of Arts Commerce and Science (BCACS) and Balaji Junior College of Arts Commerce and Science (BJCACS). Infrastructure and Facilities Balaji Institute of Management and Human Resource Development

The core of the life of the student manager after the classroom session is the hostel premises at Sri Balaji University. Hostel life is the most important part of one’s journey at BIMHRD. With over 700 student managers (including boys and girls) staying at our hostel, the atmosphere of learning and having fun while staying at BIMHRD is unmatched. These accommodations and recreational facilities are available for BIMHRD as well as for all three sister institutes. It is a place where student managers relax, refresh and re-energize and also interact with their peers for a discussion on various topics.

There is a cluster kind of arrangement with residential spaces for 12 student managers in the cluster and each cluster with four rooms and a common living area. Each floor contains eight clusters with four floors for the student managers in the hostel building. Facilities such as drinking water coolers, lockable steel almirah, and in-room furniture are provided for the student managers in the hostel premises.

Library:

The library with its vast collection of management literature and electronic resources is a key resource of the Institute. It has a collection of over 50520 books including the most recent publications in a variety of areas covering, but not limited to, Business, Economics, and Management. BIMHRD’S Library is a treasure house of knowledge and information. The Library is fully automated with a barcode system, which helps the readers to access the information readily. Endeavor is to create an inspiring learning environment, which enables the students to develop the habit of reading, learning, and researching. It has a comfortable reading room and seamless Wi-Fi Internet connectivity. It also subscribes to a host of electronic resources through which scholarly & industry-relevant information can be accessed.BIMHRD has an arrangement with other libraries including DELNET and EBSCO.

Auditorium:

The campus has two state-of-the-art auditoriums, both fully air-conditioned. The Small Auditorium, Raththinathammal Auditorium the first one is called the oldest of the two, with a seating capacity of about 750 people. This auditorium plays host to internal student events, guest lectures and seminars, and the famed SBU Student General Body Meetings. The Ranganatham Auditorium, the bigger of the two has a capacity for about 1,000 people and is known in music circles to have one of the finest acoustic systems in this region. The Ranganathan Auditorium hosts all major events ranging from the Annual Convocation, the Ethics Oration, and Prize and Incentives Distribution Ceremonies conducting Placement Drives, Pre Placement Talks, Workshops, Seminars, Conferences, cultural festivals, etc. It has played host to a huge number of eminent personalities over the years.

Classrooms:

The classrooms of BIMHRD are well furnished with proper ventilation and have a peaceful environment. The staircase kind of arrangement of seats is such that a lecturer can see and guide every student properly. The curriculum has been designed according to the latest trend in the corporate world so that the student's competencies match today’s industry need. Various guest speakers, corporate leaders, and industry experts having vast industry experience come to groom and make students experts in various domains of management studies.

Computer Lab:

Computers themselves, and software yet to be developed will revolutionize the way we learn. Information Technology is unarguably the defining force of this millennium, Keeping pace with changing technology, we at BIMHRD, believe in providing only the best and latest IT and computer facilities to our students. The computer labs are well equipped with desk-mounted systems supported by 100 MBPS internet cables and leased lines for information exchange and connectivity. To further ensure uninterrupted internet access, the Campus is Wi-Fi enabled with high-speed internet with 100 Mbps speed, providing an opportunity for the student managers to access the web, wherever he or they may be on campus. All these facilities are controlled through the server room located within the campus which has more than 28 servers and more than 2000 nodes.

Sports:

Sports are taken seriously at SBU. The fields/courts on campus include Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Tennis, and Volleyball. Indoor sports facilities are available in the students’ residences like table tennis, carom, chess, foosball, etc. Through sports, students can accumulate a whole host of skills and abilities. Leadership, teamwork, confidence, and self-reliance are big character focuses. Critical thinking is developed on the playing field as athletes need to quickly solve problems created by their opponents. Time management, a skill necessary in adulthood, is also brought into play as students learn to balance their time between college work and sports.

Gym:

A state-of-the-art gym, which is located in the hostel building provides students ample opportunity to tone up their bodies, between bouts of exercising their little grey cells! The gym comes equipped with a host of training equipment as well as the services of a fitness instructor. The Gym facilities can be easily accessed by the students two times a day, i.e., Morning (6:00- 10:00 AM) and Evening (05:30-10:00 PM).

Swimming Pools:

Swimming is a good all-around activity because it keeps your heart rate up but takes some of the impact stress off your body. SBU provides additional facilities on campus, and students at SBU have access to swimming pools with proper training.
