The Library of the College of Social Work Nirmala Niketan was started in 1958, in a small way, outside the Principal’s office with cupboards and a few books. In 1960, it was moved to a little room on the ground floor. At that time it was a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work. The library existed in this little room for a few years adding to the original stock of books and cupboards until it was finally shifted to the Third floor of the building where it now exists. The college has a well-equipped library that serves as a rich collection of updated, relevant material for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The library is completely computerized and serves all categories of people from the field apart from its services to the college.

Girls Hostel:

The College of Social Work Nirmala Niketan provides hostel facilities for women students at the premises where the College is located. Since the availability of space is limited at ISS at Churchgate, it provides hostel facilities for women students at the Extension Centre at Goregaon. Since a limited number of seats are available, they are allotted to the most needy students. Admission to the course does not guarantee admission to the Hostel.

Students Committee:

The Student Council functions as per the Maharashtra Universities Act, 2013. There are various Committees, which look after the educational, sports, and cultural activities of the students. Courses Eligibility
UG Diploma Candidates who passed 12th/equivalent from the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or any other Board, recognized by the University of Mumbai are eligible to apply. Candidates having a higher degree than XIIth std. from the University of Mumbai or any other University, recognized by the University of Mumbai are eligible to apply. Candidates who completed the XIIth standard or higher education from a distance Education University also are eligible for the course. The candidate who completed the old SSC i.e. 11+4 or intermediate also will be eligible for this course.
BSW Candidate passed 12th/equivalent conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, or an equivalent examination of any other Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary examination, recognized by the University of Mumbai OR must have passed the First Year Arts/Science/Commerce of the four year B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. degree course of this University or an examination of any other University or body recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible to apply.
MSW Candidates who completed graduation/bachelor's degree from any recognized institute/university are eligible to apply.

Interest-Free Loan Scholarship: Financial help is given to needy students through this scholarship. The amount is given to students as an interest-free loan which they would return once they get employed. The aim is to enhance the spirit of sharing among the students and to encourage them to extend help to other students who can avail of the financial help in their turn. Interested applicants should apply in writing at the beginning of the academic year to the Principal. A recommendation from the Faculty Advisor also should be submitted along with the application. This fund was instituted by ‘The Urmila Khatri Memorial Scholarship’ and 'BLA Coke Scholarship'

Government of India Scholarships: Students who are physically handicapped or belong to reserved categories can apply for government scholarships. The forms for these scholarships should be submitted to the office by mid-August to claim exemption from University fees by reserved category students. If the forms are not submitted by the above date, the University fees will be paid to the office by the end of August.

Tech Mahindra Foundation Interest-Free Loan scholarship: is available for Paraprofessional and Diploma in Social Work short-term courses in the college.
