The Government College of Technology (GCT), Coimbatore, offers a wide range of facilities for both students and staff on its campus. The college provides separate hostels for male and female students. Additionally, the campus houses a well-stocked library containing an extensive collection of books, journals, e-journals, reference materials, and magazines.
Sports facilities, both indoor and outdoor, are available for students at GCT Coimbatore. A canteen managed by NRSC provides nutritious and hygienic meals for students, faculty, parents, and visitors. Furthermore, the college ensures round-the-clock Wi-Fi connectivity for its community.
Residential Facilities:
GCT Coimbatore offers separate and well-maintained hostels for male and female students. These hostels provide comfortable living spaces equipped with amenities like Wi-Fi, fully furnished rooms, RO water, electricity, and telephone services.
Library:
The college library is a hub for academic and leisure reading, group study, and individual research. It plays a crucial role in supporting the institute's research and educational goals. Auditorium:
With a seating capacity of around 850, the college auditorium is equipped with a 35 mm projector and a large screen for film screenings and events.
Transportation:
The campus provides a 60-seater bus for students and staff, available at specified rates and conditions upon prior application.
Medical Services:
GCT has an on-campus medical facility to address immediate healthcare needs of students and staff. A medical officer, pharmacist, and male nurse assistant staff the clinic, which operates both morning and evening sessions.
Cafeteria:
The Non-Resident Student’s Centre offers catering services for day scholars and also caters to resident staff, parents, and visitors.

The Placement & Training cell at GCT focuses on fostering strong ties between the industry and the institute through a variety of activities aimed at instilling professionalism in students. This cell at GCT Coimbatore strives to create opportunities for students and companies to connect, ensuring both find the right fit based on their aspirations and needs.
The GCT Coimbatore placement cell collaborates with industry experts to organize technical sessions, career development workshops, and guest lectures. These sessions cover topics like personality development, resume writing, corporate debates, and interview techniques. The average placement package offered during the Coimbatore placement drive is Rs.15 LPA, with a minimum salary package of Rs.4 LPA.
In 2023, over 345 students from GCT Coimbatore secured placements. Some of the prominent companies that frequently visit the campus for recruitment include GCT Coimbatore BOSCH, Tata Consultancy Services, HP, HCL, Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys, and Wipro, among others.
