Eligibility conditions and requirements for admissions
1. Maharashtra State Candidate.
- The Candidate should be an Indian National and having domicile of Maharashtra state and/or born in Maharashtra state.
- Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronic science / Information Technology / Biology / Informatics Practices / Biotechnology / Technical vocational subject / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and the candidate should have appeared in MGMU - CET 2023/ MHT-CET 2023/PERA CET 2023 and should obtain non zero score in MGMU - CET 2023/ MHT-CET 2020/PERA CET 2020. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non-zero positive score in MGMU - CET 2023 over the candidates who obtained non-zero score in MHT-CET 2023/ PERA-CET 2023.
- Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
2. All India Candidates
- The Candidate should be an Indian
- Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronic science / Information Technology / Biology / Informatics Practices / Biotechnology / Technical vocational subject / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and candidate should have appeared in MGMU - CET 2023/ JEE Mains Paper-I/ MHT-CET 2023/ PERA-CET 2023 and should obtain non-zero score in MGMU - CET 2023/ JEE Mains Paper-I/ MHT-CET 2023/ PERA-CET 2023. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non-zero positive score in JEE Mains Paper-I over the candidates who obtained non-zero score in MGMU - CET 2023/ MHT-CET 2023/ PERA-CET 2023.
- Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
3. NRI* Candidate
- The candidate should be an Indian National
- The candidate should have passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronic science / Information Technology / Biology / Informatics Practices / Biotechnology / Technical vocational subject / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship and obtained at least 45% marks in the above subjects taken together.
Direct Second Year Admission
Eligibility Criteria for Direct Second Year Admission 2023-24
- For Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate and All India Candidature Candidate :-
- The Candidate should be an Indian National
- Passed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent
- Passed B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science) Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject. Provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second year subjects.
- Passed D.Voc.( Diploma of Vocation) Stream in the same or allied sector.
- In the above cases, a suitable bridge Courses, if required such as in Mathematics may be conducted.
- Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority.

Post Graduate Admissions
M.Tech. Eligibility conditions and requirements for admissions
1. Maharashtra State Candidate.
- The Candidate should be an Indian National and having domicile of Maharashtra state and/or born in Maharashtra state.
- Passed Bachelor Degree in the relevant field of Engineering and Technology from All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved institutions (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).
- Obtained Non-Zero Positive Score in Graduates Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by Indian Institute of Technology.
- In case of unavailability of GATE candidates, the vacant seat will be offered to the non-GATE candidates, as per merit, based on the marks secured in MGMU CET 2022 (M.Tech.)/PERA CET 2022.
- For sponsored candidates, minimum of two years of full-time work experience in a registered firm /company /industry /educational and/ or research institute/any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.
- Candidates who have appeared in GATE 2021 and having a score which is valid for AY 2021-22 (as mentioned on the score card) are eligible for admission.
- Candidates who have appeared GATE in 2022 with non-zero scores shall be considered on the basis of Marks obtained.
- Preference shall be given to the Valid Score candidates over not valid score.
2. All India Candidates
- The Candidate should be an Indian
- Passed Bachelor Degree in the relevant field of Engineering and Technology from All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved institutions (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).
- Obtained Non-Zero Positive Score in Graduates Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by Indian Institute of Technology.
- In case of unavailability of GATE candidates, the vacant seat will be offered to the nonGATE candidates, as per merit, based on the marks secured in MGMU CET 2022 (M.Tech.)
