Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, also known as University of Jabalpur, is a government university in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. It was named after the queen Rani Durgavati.
Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya is one of the most prestigious public research universities found in India. Thus, founded in 1956, the university was established with the intention of spreading the concept of education, particularly higher education. It also contributes to deeper economic and socio-economic growth. There are around 24 excellent establishment departments that are research and teaching departments at the university. The university has a number of centres that are funded by sponsorship. A few of them include Academic Staff College, Community College, Women's Study Center, Career Guidance Counseling Training and Placement Cell etc.
The University is recognized as the sole state university within Madhya Pradesh and one of the nine Universities across the nation to implement the famous NUSSD program. Additionally, the university has the honour of being home to numerous notable figures from the world of academia and public life.

Central Library
The school is one of the largest libraries that is located in Madhya Pradesh. This means that it houses nearly 250,000 volumes of books and subscribers to 10,000 research journals and 55,000 thesis journals across various areas of teacher education as well as related areas. Furthermore, a significant amount of journals and books are regularly added in the library. The library is a part of a reading room that has space for around 200 students.
Computer Laboratory

Medical Centre

The University offers merit-based scholarships to students who have difficulty affording the costs of their schooling. The scholarships are awarded to just 30 students per year.
Students must take an exam to be admitted and if they pass with the minimum marks required to be eligible for awarding the prize, they will receive an official scholarship award that states the waiver of costs.
RDVV also permits the students of its institution to be eligible for a National Scholarship provided by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology.
Additionally, there is a grant program that is open to students from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe.
Students who want to enter the university have to meet the eligibility requirements required for each course. Admission to postgraduate and undergraduate courses is made through an admission test and merit scores in the same manner. In addition, the university administers Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) for admission to Ph.D. programs for each area in a separate manner. Candidates who pass the test of the interview have to take part in an interview to be selected for the program.
