Easwari Engineering College was instituted in the academic year 1996 -1997, with the Approval of Government of Tamil Nadu and AICTE, New Delhi. As per Govt., Regulations for affiliation, originally the college was affiliated to the University of Madras, subsequently, the college is affiliated to Anna University Chennai since 2002.

According to the governor, Affiliation Regulations, Originally, the college was affiliated with Madras University, later the college has been affiliated with Anna University, Chennai since 2002. Continuing the philosophy of continuous learning, the institution prepares students to achieve credible scores in academic sessions and it also encourages them to develop their interpersonal and intrapersonal skills and attitudes to face life with confidence.
Approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu and AICTE, New Delhi. According to the government, College has obtained ISO 9001:2008 certification from TUV, South Asia. The National Accreditation Council has accredited all programs through June 2020.

Residential Accommodation
Our goal of creating on-campus hostels is to provide students with a "home away from home" where they can feel comfortable and do their best to acquire "Attitude", "S" kill set, and "Knowledge", towards life. We strongly believe in this formula for life and it is "ASK".The hostel environment certainly instills self-confidence, instills discipline in the minds of students, and also provides opportunities for developing their ideals for a harmonious and communal life without Nostalgia; these attributes allow them to share the joys of camaraderie, friendship /friendship, and professional fraternity; senior students have been trained to be more responsible and thus set a good example for the Everyone should uphold dignity, self-respect, and reputation of every other student and of the Alma-Mater." Library
The Central Library is situated on the First & Second floor of PG Block with an area of about 2100 sq.m.The seating arrangement is designed to accommodate 450 users at a time. The reading rooms are air-conditioned and distributed in all sections for the comfort of users; each bay has guides and a shelf locator to navigate between materials.
Medical Services and Health Center
Easwari Engineering College has a well-equipped clinic and a highly trained physician on campus to provide first-hand emergency services to faculty and students. The college is surrounded by multi-specialty hospitals namely SRM Multi-specialty Hospital, Ramachandra Hospital, Vijaya Hospital, MIOT Hospital, Suriya Hospital, and Fortis Malar Hospital. The SRM Multi-Specialty Hospital is a 9-story building located on campus. The hospital has a fully equipped modern operating theater complex with a laminar flow facility in a large area located in the 4th floor of the building where all major surgeries of all surgical modalities are performed. The hospital has the following facilities available 24 hours a day (24 X 7).
SRM Easwari Engineering College, Chennai accepts admission through various entrance exams like AIMCET/CET(State conducted test/University tests) / Association conducted test.
On-campus recruitment by top companies through continuous interactions with industry institutes (Cell III).In 2016-2017, 1,041 internship offers were submitted and 225 companies visited the campus. In 2017'18, 695 students enrolled in February 2018 and 143 companies visited the campus. High positioning in large IT companies and core businesses.1041 offers in 2017 with Flipkart's highest salary package - 15.4 lakh/year, DBS Bank 1545 lakh/year, 12 consolidated contracting companies.3 lakhs / annum, SAP LAB – 8 lakhs / annum, ZOHO –810 lakhs / annum and soon.
