Admission to SIMS is based on the Common Entrance Test (IPU-CET) conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 from a recognized board. The SIMS admission process involves counseling based on the IPU-CET ranks. SIMS has a dedicated placement cell established in 2003. The Sirifort Institute of Management Studies placement cell focuses on enhancing the interface between the institute and the industry. It identifies industrial expectations and prepares students to meet those needs through internships, seminars, workshops, and pre-placement training in soft skills. SIMS graduates have been successfully placed in renowned companies such as Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Grofers, Accenture, Wipro, and more. The institute aims to provide excellent placement opportunities to its students and bridge the gap between academia and industry.
The Placement Office lays a great deal of emphasis on giving companies, schools and students the choice of mutual selection. Acts as responsible for identifying the right student-organization fit, the Placement Office selects, targets and invites organizations to the campus for summer and final placements. The entire placement activity is co-ordinated by this Placement Office, which is the main interface between, IT world and SIMS.
The Broad Activities Undertaken by the Placement Cell are: Communication, networking and relationship building with the potential recruiters Invitation to potential recruiters to visit the Institute. Mock tests and interviews are conducted at the institute in order to enhance the technical skills of the students. General follow-up, joining formalities and other administrative activities. Seminars, Presentations and Group Discussions are conducted. Assisting students in Summer Training.
