Sri Krishnadevaraya University College of Engineering and Technology came into existence in the year 2006 to mark the silver jubilee celebrations of the university. It was established to cater to the needs of the technical education of the young generation of the region.

Sri Krishnadevaraya University College of Engineering & Technology was started in the year 2006, during the tenure of Prof. Athota Rama Rao, Prof.Rajuru Ramakrishna Reddy, Prof.C.R.Vishweshar Rao, as Vice Chancellor, Registrar and Rector of the S.K.University respectively and Dr.D.Sai Baba Reddy was appointed as the Principal of S.K.University College of Engineering and Technology.

Standard Eligibility:

For B.Tech: Must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects, or any other 10+2 level examination recognized by the Board.

For M. Tech: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required.

Residential Accommodation:

The College Hostels has been excelling in providing a good ambiance and perfect accommodation for students who come from different states and social backgrounds. The hostel is positioned inside the campus which helps students in engaging in academics and several extra and co-curricular activities without any discomfort or time constraints.

Library:

The College library is one of the central support services. The Library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources (print and electronic) in books, journals, patents, standards, thesis, reports, etc. It has also developed a full-fledged Digital Library equipped with the necessary modem equipment to provide various digital mode Library services. The Library is having a collection of more than 30000 documents, subscribes to about 100 print journals, and provides access to over 5,000 online full-text journals and several abstracting databases. Besides, there are e-books.

Health Centre:

The College Student Health Center is committed to providing compassionate care and support to promote the health and welfare of every patient. Its mission is accomplished by giving sensitive care to the whole person. The health center focuses on the acute care of the medical condition with the integration of the physical, psycho-social, and spiritual needs of the person. The center affirms the importance of the patient in the healthcare decision-making process.

Sports and Game

College Sports and games are mandatory for a student to maintain his/her fitness and health. SKUCET encourages students to participate in sports and games and extends wholehearted cooperation for their best performance. SKUCET students participated in the Annual Sports meet and various Inter Engineering Collegiate competitions, Tournaments at the University level, State level, and Inter-University level in Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Throw ball, Basketball, Badminton, Boxing, Table Tennis, Chess, Carroms and Athletics.

Sports and Game

The college has a canteen where a variety of tasty, hygienically prepared food is available at specially subsidized rates. Whether it is breakfast, lunch, a quick snack, or a cup of coffee, the canteen is where you need to head. Conveniently located in the college quadrangle and just outside the main gate, the two canteens are easily accessible to staff and visitors as well. It is a pleasant sight to see students spread out across the quadrangle, enjoying their food in groups.

Placement

The Training and Placement Section provides a launch pad for students to make it to the best organizations in the fields of software, core industries, management, etc. Our students have lived up to the expectations of organizations that visit the campus, looking for bright candidates to take up important and challenging responsibilities at their workplace. We nurture industry-institute interaction, by organizing and coordinating frequent industrial visits in-plant training, and projects of industrial relevance for the students, with the sole aim of zeroing down the gap between the industry and the academia. Students are also allowed to work on live projects in both government and non-government firms. The college has recorded a high percentage of placements in all the branches of engineering and this has been the main attraction for students to opt for SKUCET as the unique and prime choice during the central pool of admissions in the state.
