Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, popularly known as SSN College of Engineering or simply SSN, is a private engineering college located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is an autonomous college affiliated with Anna University founded by Shiv Nadar.
SSN School of Management is a popular destination for students wishing to pursue an MBA program. The 230-acre green campus with all modern infrastructure and facilities makes it a perfect place to hone your skills, broaden your horizons and become a leader. The institution has a well-stocked library with approximately 10,000 volumes, as well as access to online content and databases.
The institute is autonomous under Anna University and has been accredited A++ by the NAAC. This ISO9001 certified Department has been accredited by the NBA (National Board of Accreditation) & Approved by AICTE.

Residential Facility
Hostels are affordable and comfortable away from home with spacious rooms and ample storage space. the building is designed to be a self-contained unit with its own kitchen, dining room, reading room/library, television, and telephone. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. Library - Two elements define an exceptional library: significant resources and an appropriate atmosphere. The SSN Central Library offers both to our students. With a catalog of over 108763 Volumes and 36514 titles and an online journal database with a link to IEL (IEEE & IEE), ACM, Science Direct, SpringerLink.com, and EBSCO, the library offers students a wealth of knowledge resources to aid in their quest for knowledge. The library contains 209 national and 63 international newspapers and magazines to keep students abreast of the latest discoveries and research. Resources are constantly expanded, with about 2,000 pounds added to each semester.To increase the wealth of options, SSN also has membership in the Institutional Library of IIT-Madras, Anna University, British Council, MALIBNET (Madras Library Network, Chennai), and DELNET (Developing Library Network, New Delhi).
Cafeteria
Intense mental exertion exerts a toll on the body. That's why we have spared no expense to provide our students and staff (as well as their guests) with over camping access to tasty, nutritious, and convenient cuisine. The two-story cafeteria building easily accommodates our large and growing student population, and the extended hours make it great the perfect place for a supportive snack in the midst of a busy knowledge-seeking schedule.
Sport
Offers a healthy contrast to the demands of purely mental activities. They provide our students with an invaluable opportunity to interact, stay fit, strive for excellence, and work as a team. Our sports facilities are extensive and well-equipped, catering to a wide range of sports. There is an indoor stadium and ample space for outdoor sports.
Computer Laboratory
The Department has adequate computer laboratory facilities with the latest hardware and software innovations. The establishment scrupulously follows the rules of the AICTE in terms of IT resources to be made available to students.
Health care
Physical health is the bulwark of a sharp mind. To ensure our students have access to medication and medical advice, a well-stocked dispensary is provided in the biomedical department, and on our campus, the doctor is on appeal to meet the medical needs of our students. A van is always available on campus to transport a patient to the hospital if needed.
Auditorium
A vibrant learning experience is about more than just classroom sessions. Lectures, symposia, seminars, and guest lectures expose students to key insights, new ideas, and the opportunity to engage with peers and experts in discussion and debate. Our 1000-seat auditorium facilitates this free play of ideas. Air-conditioned and equipped with modern amenities such as multimedia projectors and high-quality sound facilities, has large atriums and verandas, ideal venues for conferences and exhibitions. Many dignitaries have graced this impressive building, the most important being the then President of India, His Excellency, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. For small seminars and meetings, there is a mini auditorium that can accommodate 300 people. With an increasing number of seminars and colloquia organized in all disciplines, each department also has its own fully equipped and spacious seminar room.
Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering Chennai accepts admission through various entrance exams like CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, TANCET & Other State Level Admission Tests. (applicable for other state applicants).
These are meant to provide industry exposure to students. The first is an 8-week summer internship between their first year and second year followed by a longer 12-week project internship in the final semester. SSN has consistently been a destination of choice for leading firms that offer internships.
Students take up internships in a variety of sectors – Manufacturing, FMCG, Analytics, IT, and Government Institutions. Such industrial exposure provides students with adequate exposure to tackling real-life problems encountered in the workings of an organization. The companies also gain from the fresh perspective and inputs of the students.
