One of the best universities located in the Kolkata IT hub is Techno India University. Techno India University is located in Bidhannagar, Kolkata in West Bengal. This campus is located in the hub of Kolkata, Salt Lake City, near the office of Times Now India, IBS, and Wipro More as well. It was established in 2012, inaugurated by Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal. 

Techno India University has various departments ranging from engineering to humanities and law. The university is very well known for its engineering courses which include civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering and more. Techno India University was ranked C for Top Private Institutions by ARIIA 2020. With the collaboration of various German researchers, they have been able to work towards building a Robotics laboratory in Germany. Techno India University has 11 schools offering UG, PG, Diploma programs in various streams. Additionally, they offer research and integrated programs and foreign languages as well. 

Library

The campus has a very big library that has journals both national and international journals. Along with a physical library, Techno India University has an e-library that is stocked with more than 15000 e-books and 3000+ journals. Additionally, these can be accessed by the students on the campus by connecting to the university Wi-Fi.

Hostel

Techno India University has a great infrastructure for the comfort and safety of the students. They provide separate hostel facilities for girls and boys, with both AC and non Ac rooms, according to their preference. There is free movement and comfort in both the hostels. The living environment in both the hostels is very comfortable and secure as well.

Other facilities

Techno India University also has an extensive sports complex and cafeteria. They have separate labs for different courses. They have a chemistry lab, computer lab, electrical lab, mechanical lab, electronics lab, and civil engineering lab. The university also has a shuttle service for the convenience of the day scholars.

Placements

The placement cell of Techno India University is very efficient in providing a number of summer training, recruitment training, and internships as well. The university provides summer training for third-year students. These trainings are held in various other countries, like France, the USA, Germany, and China.

Moreover, the university also provides financial aid to students who have excelled in either academics or extracurricular. This aid is in collaboration with banks like the Punjab National Bank. The university offers this scholarship to students once a year.

Fee Structure

The Techno India University fee structure depends on the courses. However, for most courses, the fees are above 3L. However, for courses like BPharm and BSc, the Techno India University fees are above 6L.

Admission

Admissions are basically done on academic as well as entrance exam score and application form for the same will be available online on the official website.

For B.Sc, BA, MA, Integrated MA-Ph.D, Dual BA-MA, B.Com, M.Com, Integrated M.Com-Ph.D, Integrated B.Com-M.Com and Dual B.Sc.-M.Sc., the candidate must produce valid score card of TNJEE

For BCA and Integrated BCA-MCA, the score for CET/TNJEE is mandatory

For BBA and Integrated BBA-MBA, the candidate must produce score of CET/UGAT/TNJEE

For BHM, score in CET/TNJEE is essential while for Integrated BBA-LLB, CLAT/TNJEE is mandatory

NATA/JEE Mains score is essential for pursuing B.Arch course

For D.Pharm TNJEE score is required however for B.Pharm and Engineering courses scorecard of WBJEE/JEE Mains/TNJEE is needed

For admissions to B.Sc Nursing JENPAUH/TNJEE is needed while only TNJEE score is taken into account for GNM admissions

For LLB and Integrated LLB courses, score of TNJEE/CLAT is required

The score of JAM/TNJEE is needed for M.Sc. and Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D

For MCA/Integrated MCA JECA/TNJEE is mandatory

M.Tech admissions are done on the basis of score in GATE/TGATE

Admissions to MBA programs are done on the basis of score in CAT/MAT or TMAT score

Admissions to Fine Arts courses are conducted via online assessment by the University

Ph.D admissions require a student to have a valid score in NET/GATE/TGATE/TNET
