Indian candidates who qualify for the JEE Main 2025 cutoff will be able to register for the exam for JEE Advanced 2025. The top 2.5 lakh candidates of JEE Main 2025 will be allowed to appear for JEE Advanced 2025. On the other hand, foreign nationals do not need to clear JEE Main and can directly register for the IIT JEE Advanced exam. However, candidates of all nationalities must pass class 12 boards in 2024 or 2025 to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2025. The JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be conducted in CBT mode at centers in India and abroad. JEE Advanced is the second qualifying exam for IIT admission, the first being JEE Main. Jee Advance 2025 is an annual engineering entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Nearly the top 2,50,000 rank holders of JEE Main qualified students are eligible to appear for Jee Advanced 2025. IIT Kanpur has released the JEE Advanced 2025 eligibility criteria on the official website jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates who wish to appear for the JEE Advanced exam 2025 must check the eligibility conditions. Those who fulfill the JEE Advanced eligibility criteria 2025 must complete the online registration. Performance in JEE (Main) 2025

Must have ranked in the top 2,50,000 in JEE (Main) 2025 B.E./B.Tech. paper. The distribution includes 10% General-EWS, 27% OBC-NCL, 15% SC, 7.5% ST and 40.5% Open categories. Horizontal reservation: 5% for PWD in each category.

Age Limit

General category candidates should be born on or after 1 October 2000. SC, ST and PWD candidates are given five years age relaxation, under which they should be born on or after 1 October 1995.

Qualifying Examination

Candidates must be appearing in the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2023, 2024, or 2025 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Those appearing in 2022 or before are ineligible. Eligibility conditions apply for declaration of results after September 21, 2022.

Earlier admission at IITs

Candidates must not have been admitted to any IIT through JoSAA 2024, and whose admissions have been cancelled are ineligible for JEE (Advanced) 2025. Exceptions apply with specific conditions.

Number of attempts

A maximum of three attempts in three consecutive years to appear for JEE (Advanced).(revised)

JEE Advanced 2025 Result

The result of JEE Advanced 2025 has been declared online. Candidates will have to log in to view their scores and download the scorecard. Text messages will also be sent to the candidates on their registered mobile number. Individual rank cards will not be sent to the candidates.

The marks obtained by the candidate in Physics in JEE Advanced 2025 will be equal to the marks obtained in the Physics part of Paper 1 and the marks obtained in the Physics part of Paper 2. The marks obtained in Chemistry and Mathematics will be calculated in the same way. The total marks obtained by the candidate in JEE (Advanced) 2025 will be the sum of the marks awarded to the candidate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. If the candidate obtains the minimum percentage of marks in each subject and total marks as per the respective category, he/she is considered to have passed JEE (Advanced).

Rank List: The rank list is prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in JEE (Advanced) 2025. Only those candidates will be considered for ranking who appear in both Paper 1 and Paper 2. There will be no waiting list for ranking.
