JEE Advanced is an exam to get into India's top engineering colleges. In 2026, IIT Kanpur said 23 top IITs will take JEE Advanced scores for admission. To apply, students must first pass the JEE Advanced exam. Eligible students must do JoSAA 2026 counseling to get admitted. But IISER does not recognize JEE Advanced 2026 results. IISER will have its own entrance test, IISER IAT 2026, for admission this year.

In order to get enrolled in any of the top engineering colleges in India that accept the JEE Advanced score 2026, the candidates have to first meet the basic eligibility criteria.
JoSAA will conduct counselling on its website. Those who pass the JEE Advanced exam will need to register for JoSAA counselling 2026. Private and government colleges that accept JEE Advanced scores will use a central process to allocate seats.

Students who are not Indian citizens will have to pass this exam to get admission in IITs. Candidates who are born outside India and who have studied Class XII abroad will be considered foreign students. Many foreign universities accept JEE Advanced scores. Foreign students can reserve up to 10% of the total seats in any course. Foreign students do not need to pass JEE Main to appear for JEE Advanced 2026.
