This optional section assesses the candidate’s proficiency in the English language, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills. The section tests the candidate's ability to effectively use English in legal contexts.
This part examines candidates’ knowledge of prevailing issues and major events that took place within the context of the surrounding and, especially those most pertinent to Indian society.
It encompasses topics like past occurrences, types of governance, evolution of localities, relationships among nations and global threats. This category also encompasses current projects, domestic and global coverage of news, prizes, and games. This subsection assists in evaluating the candidate's global comprehension and the extent to which they are in touch with world events.\n\nEnglish Language\nLanguage Comprehension, Vocabulary, and Grammar are the major areas assessed from the specified candidates, as per this section. This sub-section is based on reading comprehension, grammar usages, sentence formulation, and most importantly, sentence structures. The candidates will be required to read written passages, comprehend the meanings of certain phrases in their contexts, and rewrite sentences in better constructions. This type of English however, presents a challenge for those who are non-speakers of the language.\n\nLogical Reasoning\nThe section that assesses the verbal skills of the applicants is logical reasoning and this adds to the length of the test. This category encompasses subjects such as syllogisms, analogies, seating arrangement, general puzzles, coding and decoding and blood relations. To do well in a section like this, one needs to have an eye that can decode logical frameworks effectively within less time. Solving logical reasoning papers can develop problem solving abilities in a candidate and this would in turn, improve the general performance level.
