There are some differences in the application procedures for the BITS HD 2026 depending on the program or campus. Most requirement version states that candidates must have a relevant undergraduate degree in any of the fields: engineering, technology or any relevant field from an A U accredited institution. To pursue the M.Tech programs, the candidates needs to at least have a B.Tech degree or its equivalent with a specified percentage. For pursuing the M.Sc programs, one is required to have a B.Sc. degree or its equivalent. Also the candidates should possess some additional requirements that are unique to each of the campuses, for instance, GATE qualification or other examination scores for selected programs.

In the case of BITS HD 2026 college selection is dependent on the score of the candidate in the entrance examination followed by the counseling. Candidates are required to take BITS HD exam which includes Multiple-choice and short questions from their field of study. Posts the examination candidates are classified based on their marks obtained into groups and are invited for counseling. Soon after the results are announced, the counselling procedure for BITS HD 2026 will be initiated. Depending on their scores, candidates will be summoned for counselling. During counselling, candidates will pick a program and a campus of their choice, and seats will be assigned to them based on their results and the number of seats available.
