IIT JAM or the Joint Admission Test for Masters (or M.Sc.) is one of the joint entrance Test conducted by IITs for the students who are seeking for admission into M.Sc, Joint M.Sc.-PhD, M.Sc.-PhD dual degree, and other Postgraduate courses across different IIT’s and IISc. The IIT JAM 2025 selection process also includes several stages to make sure that only the best candidates qualify the course. The process consists of a registration, an entrance exam, announcement of results, and counseling. Each Indian Institute Of Technology directs the candidates thoroughly towards the IIT JAM 2025 selection process based on the eligibility described by them. An applicant is required to satisfy the requirements like:

| Educational Qualifications | In order to be eligible to appear in the exams, an applicant is required to have at least 55% ( 50% for SC/ST/PwD) in Bachelor to obtain the degree from an accredited university. |

| Caste Certificate | In case, the applicant belongs to the reserved categories such as SC ST or OBC then he/she needs to submit a valid caste certificate issued by the government. |
| Age Proof | Documents such as Birth certificate or passport in order to prove the age of the candidate and whether it complies with the eligibility criteria. |
| Photographs | For identification purpose, recent passport size photographs will have to be submitted prior to the actual process of the counseling. |
