KEAM Eligibility Criteria 2024 - CEE Kerala has made the KEAM 2024 eligibility criteria available on its official website, cee.kerala.gov.in. Candidates can view the KEAM eligibility requirements on this page. Before completing the KEAM application form, students must first review the KEAM 2024 eligibility requirements. Those who meet the KEAM eligibility criteria 2024 will be entitled to take the KEAM exam. KEAM 2024 eligibility criteria include elements such as nationality, age limit, residency, academic standards, and others.

Candidates for KEAM 2024 are separated into three categories based on their domicile. If a candidate is found ineligible at any level of admission based on KEAM 2024's eligibility standards, their candidature will be cancelled. KEAM 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Candidates must have Indian nationality.

However, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) will be accepted for KEAM 2024. These candidates will be ineligible for reservations.

Domicile

Candidates must fall into one of three categories: Keralite, Non-Keralite Category I (NK I), or Non-Keralite Category II. Candidates must submit specific documentation to confirm their domicile.

KEAM 2024 Age Limit

KEAM eligibility standards 2024 require candidates to be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2024.

There is no maximum age limit.

KEAM 2024: Educational Requirements

Should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or comparable test with a minimum of 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

If the candidate did not study Chemistry in 12th grade, the marks from Computer Science will be considered. Furthermore, if the candidate did not study Computer Science in addition to Chemistry, the authorities will evaluate the Biotechnology marks. Finally, if the candidate has not studied any of the listed subjects, their Biology scores will be considered

KEAM 2024: KEAM Required Marks

Engineering: Candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as obligatory courses and Chemistry/computer science/biology as an optional subject, with at least 45% combined marks in the subjects, to be eligible for admission and KEAM 2024 qualification marks.

Architecture: Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of Kerala or any other recognized board with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, or have passed the 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with at least 50% in aggregate. Candidates who achieve the minimal eligibility marks as per NATA eligibility 2024 will be considered for admission to the B.Arch. course.

KEAM Eligibility Criteria: Keralite Category 2024

If the candidates are originally from Kerala, they will be considered Keralites.

Children of All India Service (AIS) officers (non-Keralites) assigned to the Kerala cadre will also be classified as Keralites, however, they would not be eligible for Communal/Special/Persons with Disabilities reservations or fee concessions.

KEAM Eligibility Criteria 2024: Non-Keralite Category I (NK I)

  1. Candidates who do not fall into the Keralite category but match the specified criteria will be considered for admission under the Non-Keralite Category I (NK I).
  2. Candidates who are not from Kerala but have finished their eighth through twelfth grade in Kerala.
  3. Candidates who passed their qualifying examination in Kerala and have non-Keralite parents who work for the Government of India or the Defence Forces in Kerala.
  4. Who have finished qualifying courses in Kerala, and whose non-Keralite parents have served or are serving the Kerala government for at least two years.
  5. Those applicants who do not belong to Kerala but are residents of Kerala and have finished a minimum of 5 years of their education out of 12 years in the state

KEAM Eligibility Criteria 2024: Non-Keralite Category II (NK II)

  1. Candidates in this category would be eligible for admission to government and management quota seats in B.Tech programs offered by government-controlled self-financing colleges and private self-financing engineering institutions.
  2. However, students should be aware that applicants in this category will only be admitted to the aforementioned institutions if Keralite and Non-Keralite I (NK I) candidates are not eligible for admission.
  3. Students should be aware that no communal/special/persons with disabilities reservations or fee concessions will be granted to candidates in this category.

Note: Candidates who belong to any of the three categories listed above will be admitted in respect of seats reserved for nominees of the Government of India, Administration of Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep Administration, and Jammu and Kashmir 

List of Documents as Proof of KEAM Eligibility 2024

  1. To apply for the Keralite category, candidates must provide an original copy of their Secondary School Leaving Certificate indicating their birthplace in Kerala, or a copy of their parents' Secondary School Leaving Certificate indicating their birthplace in Kerala, along with a corroborative certificate establishing a relationship between the candidate and the parent.
  2. Original copy of the candidate's passport issued by the Government of India showing birthplace to be Kerala, or passport of any of the parents showing their birthplace to be Kerala, together with a supporting document demonstrating the parent's link with the kid.
  3. A birth certificate from a competent authority (Panchayat/ Municipality/ Corporation) indicating the candidate's birthplace in Kerala is required. Alternatively, a birth certificate from one of the candidate's parents, along with a supporting document establishing the candidate's relationship with the parent, or a certificate from a Tahsildar/Village Officer indicating the candidate's or either of the parents' birthplace in Kerala is also acceptable. To apply, students must attach a document in the required format or provide a certificate from a competent body indicating that their father is an All India Service officer assigned to the Kerala cadre.

For Non-Keralite Category I (NK I) 2024

The candidate must provide a certificate from their employer in the prescribed format, as well as a certificate showing school studies in Kerala for Standards XI & XII from the head of the institution where they studied. Alternatively, they can provide a certificate of residence from the Tahsildar/Village Officer stating that they have lived in Kerala for 5 years within 12 years of their study period. Students must submit the certificate in the appropriate format together with the application form.

For Non-Keralites Category II (NK II) 2024

Candidates belonging to KEAM 2024 non-Keralite for engineering II must submit a Certificate of Completion of Qualifying Examination in the specified format or a passport issued by the Government of India to establish their Indian citizenship.
