The National Board of Examinations (NBE) is responsible for administering Fellowship Entrance Test (FET) 2025 among medical students wishing to acquire any of the fellowship programs beholding NBE. The selection process for NBE FET 2025 includes various steps like registration, taking the entrance examination, and being finally selected in accordance with the performance during the exam. NBE FET is a very competitive examination and the selection for the fellowships is based upon the examination scores and eligibility criteria of the applicants. The candidates awarded the fellowships after selection are placed in various medical specialties in esteemed hospitals and medical institutes across the length and breadth of India.
In order for the candidate to sit for the NBE FET 2025 exam, he/she has to be selected via evaluation based on eligibility criteria and performance in the entrance examination among the nomination processes completed. The first step of the process is obtaining registration and filling in the online application form. The candidate will then sit for the entrance exam which aims at testing the candidate’s knowledge in a specific medical field. Once the results are announced, and based on the performance in the examination, the candidate moves on to the next phases of the admission process which include the counseling and the document verification.
In addition to meeting the eligibility requirements, candidates are shortlisted based on the examination scores.

There are four main activities – Registration, Exam, Results and Admission when it comes to the selection process of NBE FET 2025. Most of the candidates have to first register themselves for the exam by filling an online application form with particular educational details, some personal, and paying the application fees. The exam is conducted at several centers where level of medical knowledge is tested within the aspirants. On announcing the results, those who surpass the required cut off are taken. To conclude, those who come at the top on the list will be called for counselling as well as submission of documents to get their admission into the fellowship programs.

The selection of candidates in NBE FET 2025 to the Medical University is recommended through consideration of the eligibility and examination ranking cut off. The requirements that need to be met include, having a postgraduate medical certificate relevant to the University education, and other requirements determined by NBE. The selection stage is also based on the candidate's score on the exam. Still, other institutions that participate in the NBE may define cut-off scores on the examination or other factors for candidate eligibility. Such candidates are then pre-approved for counseling, and based on the counseling outcome and verification of the required documents, the candidates are finally selected for admission.

As part of the registration and admission process for the NBE FET 2025 a candidate has to submit a number of documents such as – identity proof (E.g.aadhar card, passport), medical qualification certificate and some other documents as proof of eligibility. The proof of documents will be verified during counseling and interview sessions at which point original document Copies will have to be provided. During registration the candidates should have scans of all relevant documents that are required for online submission so that at the time of final admission all original documents are valid and can be physically verified.
