REET 2025 Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualifications, Age Limit, Subject-Specific Requirements

REET 2025 Overview of Eligibility

The qualifications needed for REET 2025 eligibility criteria are intended to permit only those professionals who meet the high demands of teachers to get appointments in Rajasthan. REET 2025 Educational Qualification

The requirement of Class 1 (Primary) level of at least 10+2 or the equivalent of 50% marks has become a necessity for anyone who would like to apply for the Senior Secondary (10+2)/or an equal with 50% min and D.El.Ed./D.Ed.2022. There are no grace marks available in this category. Aside from the fact that the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree can be granted to them who are the final year of their Diploma or the B.Ed. program, they must be the ones who finish their course before they are taken for the last admission process.

As far as Level 2 (Upper Primary Teacher) is concerned, candidates have to have a degree in the desired subject and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or an equivalent degree; the preferred subjects include B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., etc. As a general rule, candidates who have pursued a B.Ed. or B.A.-B.Ed. program might have completed four years of their schedule by now. For applicants who are specified in subjects such as Mathematics or Science, extra subject-specific qualifications may also be asked for. Pupils who are in their final year of their degree course or the B.Ed. program are also REET 2025 eligibility criteria to apply, provided that they finish their qualification before the final admission process.

REET 2025 Age Limit

The REET 2025 age limit is a crucial aspect that  candidates need to keep in mind. For the first level (Primary Teacher), candidates need to be at least 18 years old and not more than 40 years of age by the application deadline. Category-based candidates receive an upper age limit relaxation from the reserved section such as SC, ST, OBC, and PwD authorities. In these cases, the maximum age is 45 years, and candidates in these categories have an extension of the upper age limit for 5 years.

For Level 2 (Upper Primary Teacher), the minimum age requirement is also 18 years. General category candidates can enjoy a 5-year age relaxation, allowing them to go up to the age of 40. The Rajasthan government has the authority to grant further age relaxation to certain categories or regions in exceptional cases, thus candidates should rather turn to the official notification to be aware of the same.

REET 2025 Nationality

The participants need to be the citizens of India while applying for REET 2025 Nationality. Candidates, for example, need to take items like an Aadhar card, voter ID, or passport as proof of nationality with them to the microchip test. Likewise, a candidate has to produce a domicile certificate which shows that they are living in Rajasthan for application under the Rajasthan state quota. NRIs up the other hand will also be qualified to exploit the opportunity of an open admission but are not be given an equal condition of preference and are thus not entitled to the reservation advantages.

Although the citizens from other states can apply for REET 2025 too, they will not be treated as domiciled candidates and thus will not be allowed to take the reservations of Rajasthan. It does not matter where the candidates are from, all eligible candidates, in particular, domestic students, must address other eligibility criteria, which may include the educational qualifications and age limits, to appear for the exam.

REET 2025 Reservation Policy

Taking a cue from government REET 2025 reservation policy, REET ensures fair treatment of candidates from different social and economic backgrounds. The reservation policy is designed to not only provide relaxation in eligibility criteria but also to make education accessible to the less privileged and underprivileged sections of society. For REET 2025, the reservation policy applies to candidates from SC, ST, OBC, and PwD categories.

As per the REET 2025 reservation policy, SC candidates are allotted 16% of the seats, ST candidates are given 12%, and OBC candidates are typically provided with a 21% reservation. Additionally, candidates from the PwD category are eligible for a 3% reservation. These candidates may also benefit from a reduction in the minimum marks required for eligibility. For instance, a general category candidate may need to secure at least 60% marks, while candidates from SC, ST, OBC categories may be eligible with a slightly lower percentage.

In the application process for REET 2025, it is mandatory for candidates to submit their caste certificates or disability certificates as proof to claim the benefits of reserved seats. Furthermore, it is important for candidates to refer to the official regulations issued each year, as any changes in government policies may affect the admission process and reservation criteria.
