O.P. Jindal Global, formerly and still informally known as O. P. Jindal Global University is a private university located at Sonipat, Haryana, India. It was established in 2009 as a philanthropic initiative of its founding chancellor, Naveen Jindal in memory of his father, O.P. Jindal.
JGU is ranked among the top 800 universities in the world in the QS World University Rankings 2020. JGU is ranked as one of the global top 50 universities under 50 years of age in the Rankings. JGU was ranked among the top 450 universities in Asia in the QS World University Rankings in 2019. JGU was founded as a philanthropic initiative of its Founding Chancellor, Mr. Naveen Jindal, in memory of his father, Mr. O.P. Jindal. In line with its aspiration to serve as a role model.
