About M.Ed
The Master of Education (M.Ed) is a master's
degree program that focuses on studying innovative teaching and educational
research. The program focuses on teaching, curriculum, counselling, leadership,
educational technology, and other facets of education. The National Council of
Higher Education (NCHE) is the regulatory body in charge of the Master of
Education program.
a) The M.Ed. program lasts two years and is
divided into four semesters. However, a one-year Master of Education program
is also offered by some colleges and universities. There are a variety of
subjects and specializations covered in the course.
b) Candidates can pursue an M.Ed. through
regular or distance education. After completing the M.Ed. program, candidates
can choose to work as counsellors, administrators, headmasters, etc. as well as
teachers.
