What is Diploma in Pre-School Education (DPSE)?


The DPSE or Diploma in Pre-School Education curriculum was created to prepare instructors who will be able to meet the requirements of teaching little kids. The curriculum provides prospective teachers with the necessary abilities to deal with children aged 0 to 8 years and teach children aged 3 to 8.

 

This curriculum is for a two-year diploma programme that includes fourteen theory courses and practicum and the School Experience Program (SEP) in both years. The curriculum has been created to provide student teachers with the necessary field information and practise what they've learned and acquired the skills needed. In both academic sessions, a comprehensive and intense school experience programme is established to ensure that student teachers thoroughly understand children, the school environment, school activities, and classroom procedures, among other things.


Eligibility Criteria for Diploma in Pre-School Education (DPSE)


  • Candidates must have received at least 50% (50%) in their higher secondary (+2) or equivalent examination to be considered for admission. Reservations and grade relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories will be determined by the rules of the Central Government or the State Government, as applicable.
  • For admission to the DPSE programme, candidates must have received at least 50% in the Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2).
  • SCERT Delhi admits students based on merit.
