What is Bachelor in Ayurvedic Pharmacy?


A four-year undergraduate programme in Ayurveda is known as Bachelor of Ayurvedic Pharmacy. It is a full-time job-oriented course that focuses on Ayurvedic Formulations, the ayurvedic manufacturing process, and the study of raw materials utilised to manufacture ayurvedic medicine.

 

The Bachelor in Ayurvedic Pharmacy course covers the pharmaceuticals and medications utilised in the Ayurvedic medical system. Like the ordinary B Pharmacy programme, this course focuses on issues such as medication manufacture and distribution. The significant difference is that the B Pharm Ayurveda programme only covers Ayurvedic pharmaceuticals and treatments.

A manufacturer who has completed a BA Pharmacy in Ayurveda is responsible for all aspects of medicine production.

Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor in Ayurvedic Pharmacy


  • Students in the Science stream (Mathematics or Biology PCM/B) who have passed the twelfth standard board assessment from a recognised board can enrol in this expert course. 
  • For admission to Bachelor of Ayurvedic Pharmacy programmes, tests like the GPAT, AIIMS, BITSAT, LPUNEST, and others are administered.
  • Applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled and other categories of candidates may be granted a 5% mark reduction from 55 per cent to 50 per cent, or an equivalent grade reduction, as determined by the Commission from time to time.

  • Another relevant postgraduate study for graduates is M.Sc. in Medicinal Plants. The programme lasts for two years.
