B.SC. HON (Botany), Also known as a bachelor in science honors in botany, is a scientific study of plants. By definition, it can also be called the study of the large scale of living organisms, from the smallest bacteria to the largest living thing(Trees). The food we eat today results from research and development in this field. Scientifically modified crops and trees give huge benefits over normal, unmodified versions of them. The research includes studying the DNA of a Plant and then focusing on the specific genes responsible for grown and yield of crops and improving or modifying them to enhance the plant. The duration of this program is 3 Years. A person with having Scientific approach and love for plants, nature is the most suitable person for this degree. Still, anyone can take up this course if he fits the eligibility criteria, which is as follows.

Eligibility Criteria and Fee Structure for Bachelor of Science Honours (B.Sc. Hons.) Botany

Students above the age of 18 years at the time of application and who have cleared their Secondary education from HSC/10+2 with biology, chemistry, and physics as their primary subjects with passing percentages of 50-60% and 55-60% and above for good institutes. Admissions are merit-based, and the respective colleges decide the cutoff. A student who satisfies the eligibility criteria and is cut off by the applied college are provided admission.
The fee ranges from college to college from 15000 Rupees to 100000 Rupees for full-time courses. Some colleges also have fees starting from 6000 rupees.

The admission process differs from college to college, but two main types of admission are the Entrance test conducted at the college level or merit-based admission, and the cutoff is the set by the college.
This course is of 3 Years and is divided into six semesters. Exams are conducted every semester each term having 4-5 subjects like cell biology, EVS, labs, Medical botany, Plant Biotechnology, Phytopathology, Genomics, and Project.
