Admission Procedure

Application Form:

The admission process typically commences in early spring. Prospective students are required to complete the college's official application form, easily accessible and submittable online via the college website.

Eligibility Criteria:

Each course stipulates specific eligibility criteria that candidates must fulfill. These criteria often include educational qualifications and, in certain instances, minimum marks or grades. Applicants are advised to thoroughly review the eligibility requirements for their preferred program.

Entrance Examinations:

Certain programs may necessitate candidates to undertake entrance examinations designed to evaluate their aptitude and knowledge in the respective field of study.  The college conducts these exams fairly and transparently.

Merit-Based Admission:

The admission process at Arya Kanya Post Graduate College is predominantly merit-based. Candidates are evaluated based on their academic performance in preceding qualifying examinations. A merit list is compiled, and the highest-scoring candidates are shortlisted for further rounds of selection.

Admission Requirements
  1. Candidates need to submit the following documents at the time of admission:
  2. All original mark sheets and certificates as specified in the entrance test form.
  3. High School or equivalent exam certificate and mark sheet.
  4. Intermediate or equivalent exam certificate and mark sheet.
  5. Caste Certificate.
  6. Admit Card for Entrance Test.
  7. Character Certificate issued by the school/college last attended.
  8. Parent/guardian’s declaration of annual income and the number of dependents, including the designation and salary structure if they are in service.
  9. Migration Certificate (from the institute the candidate has last attended) must be submitted within one month of admission, not exceeding 90 days in any case.
  10. Three sets of self-attested documents and five passport-size photographs (matching those on the admit card and application form).
  11. Arya Kanya Post Graduate College employee's ward certificate, if applicable, issued by the Principal of the college.
  12. Physically challenged candidates will be admitted based on the recommendation of the University Medical committee.
  13. At the time of admission, parents/guardians must be present.

Important Notes

  1. If, at any stage, it is discovered that the applicant does not meet the minimum eligibility requirements set by Arya Kanya Post Graduate College, her candidature will be automatically canceled. 
  2. The college reserves the right to cancel a candidate's admission under various conditions, including failure to meet minimum eligibility requirements, submission of forged documents, or any other valid reason. 
  3. The caste certificate submitted at the time of admission is considered final.
  4. If a candidate claims admission after the last date, it will not be possible, and the allocated subject cannot be changed.
  5. Admissions in SC/ST/OBC categories will be forwarded to the Deputy Registrar for further inquiry.
  6. Admission will be canceled if documents/certificates are found to be fake, and the candidate will be penalized, preventing her from appearing in any other exams of Arya Kanya Post Graduate College. 
  7. Students are required to register their names within seven days of the commencement of classes.
