Library Facilities at AMEI, Chennai

AMEI Facilities has a spacious library having an excellent selection of the latest books, magazines, journals, and periodicals on Management and Information Technology. The back volumes of leading management journals are also available. The library remains open for close to 12 hours on all working days to benefit students and faculty.

Labs 

A modern Audio Visual Lab with state-of-the-art equipment like OHPs and a slide Projection system has been set up. A large collection of management and information technology films are also available.

Hostel Facilities at AMEI, Chennai

AMEI Facilities Hostel accommodation is provided separately for boys and girls. Wholesome food (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) is served. The hostel blocks have large open spaces to provide a healthy living environment within the campus.

Laboratories  Facilities at AMEI, Chennai

AMEI Facilities Separate computer labs for MBA and MCA programs are available to meet present and future needs. The labs are well equipped with the latest Pentium IV-based multimedia systems and networking is done both in Novell Netware and Windows NT. Students are provided hands-on experience with all the latest programming languages, RDBMS, and OOP'S S/W, in addition to the internet.

Location

The Institute is located on a twelve-acre campus at Jaladampet on Velachery-Tambaram Road. This is about 20 km from the heart of Chennai City and about 10 km from Saidapet. The campus is beautifully laid out and developed with landscaped gardens and offers excellent facilities for sports and games. It has spacious grounds for cricket, hockey, and football and well-prepared courts for basketball, volleyball, and badminton. A large and impressive auditorium with a seating capacity of 1,500 is also available. The Institute has a 45,000 sq. ft. spacious and impressive building with several well-laid-out classrooms, conference halls, syndicate rooms, a library, and lab facilities.

The campus is well connected to Chennai City by MTC bus nos. 51, E51, 51B, 51D and 51H from Saidapet, by A51 and D51 from Broadway/Parrys and by 5A from T.Nagar. The Institute/College buses are also available on all working days, which cover almost the entire city.

ANTI-RAGGING MEASURES IN THE CAMPUS

AMEI Facilities Ragging in any form is an offense and is punishable. The students and parents are expected to give the declaration as per the guidelines given by the DCI at the time of admission. The Anti-Ragging committee, the anti-ragging squad, and every employer of the Institute are in vigil. The students and parents are informed to report any incident of ragging found in the classroom, campus, transport, and in the library: both during and before and after college hours.

Prompt and severe action will be taken against those indulging in Ragging activities as per the Tamil Nadu
