Baba Farid College (BFC), Bathinda Regular Admissions Of Various Courses Under Punjabi University Patiala Are To Be Completed As Per Norms And Schedule Of Punjabi University, Patiala Which Is Released Before The Start Of The Academic Session.

1. The University Schedule Of Admissions Is Circulated By The College Through Advertisements On The College Website, Social Media, And Print Media.

2. The College Is Open To All Eligible Candidates Provided The Student Fulfils Certain Requirements Set By The College Management And Parents Concerned Undertake To Comply With All Rules And Regulations Framed By Management And The University From Time To Time.

3. Students Approach The College For Admission And Such Students Are Provisionally Registered For The Admission Process By The College Based On Students Results.

4. Admission Will Be Made On a Merit Basis Or Entrance Test As May Be The Case. The Decision Of The Principal Regarding The Entrance Test Shall Be Final.

5. Every Candidate Must Complete The Admission Form In All Respects Along With Attested Copies Of Supporting Certificates And Six Passport-Size Photographs.

6. Every Student Required To Produce the original University/ Board Certificate Of Having Passed The Previous Examination And A Character Certificate From The Institution Last Attended.

7. Further, As Per The University Schedule Of Admissions, The Eligibility Of Students Will Be Checked As Per The Ordinance Of The Course Opted And Students Are Further Admitted to the University Portal.

8. Fees And Other Charges Once Paid Are Not Refundable Even If The Student For Any Reason Leaves The College Immediately Or Does Not Turn Up For Admission Later On.

9. The Seat Already Reserved May Be Allotted To Another If The Fees Together With Other Charges Are Not Paid Within Three Days After The Declaration Of The Result By The University.


BFC, Bathinda Documentation And Rules To Study Basic Punjabi/Elementary Punjabi Subject :

For Students Who Want To Study Basic Punjabi/Elementary Punjabi Subjects Then The Following Is Eligibility Criteria And Necessary Documents Required For Opting for Punjabi Compulsory (Basic Knowledge) Subject: -
Those Students Who Have Passed The 10th Class From Any Other State Except Punjab.
Those Students Who Have Not Studied Punjabi Subjects In 10th & 12th Classes.
Bona-Fide Resident Students Of Punjab Will Not Be Allowed To Opt For Punjabi Compulsory (Basic Knowledge) Subjects, Even If They Have Not Studied Punjabi Subjects Either At The 10th Or 12th Level Examination.
Wards Of Defense Personnel/Paramilitary Personnel (Retired Or On Service) Are Also Allowed To Study Punjabi Compulsory (Basic Knowledge) Subjects.

1. 10th & 12th Pass Result Card (Attested Copy).
2. Affidavit From The Father Of The Student Regarding Their Permanent Resident State.
3. Wards Of Defense Personnel/Paramilitary Personnel (Either Retired Or On Service) Will Submit The Service Certificate Of Their Father. If The Father Is Not Alive, An Affidavit May Be Given By the Mother Or Guardian Stating That The Student Has Not Studied Punjabi Matriculation Or Higher Senior Secondary Level And the Student Belongs To Defense personnel / Paramilitary personnel.

B.Sc. (Honours in Biotechnology) Candidates who fail in any one of the subjects of English, Science, and Mathematics shall not be eligible. The student should have done his study of 5th class from a school situated in a village that does not fall within the limits of a municipal committee/ corporation/ under a small town/ notified area. The student should have passed his 6th to 10th classes from a recognized/affiliated school in a village that does not fall within the limits of a municipal committee/ corporation/ under a small town/ notified area. The student and his/her parents must be permanent residents of a village which do not fall within the municipal committee/ corporation/ under a small town/ notified area.
B.Sc. (Honours in Mathematics) N/A

MCA Passed BCA/Bachelor degree in computer science engineering or equivalent degree. OR passed B.Sc./B.Com./B.A. with Mathematics at the 10+2 level or the Graduation Level (with additional bridge courses as per the norms of the concerned university). Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examinations.
