Library Facilities:

Christian Dental College library plays a crucial role in student education and serves as a focal point for learning. The Christian Dental College Library was established to cater to the academic needs of both faculty and student communities. This air-conditioned library spans two floors, with the first-floor housing the property counter, the librarian's desk, a reference section, and a postgraduate area. The second floor accommodates sections for undergraduates, reading, medical photography, and audiovisual resources.

Library hours are from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on weekdays, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays, and closed on Sundays. In addition to comfortable reading spaces, the library provides services such as photocopying, computer/internet access, printing, scanning, and read-only CDs.

The CDC library aims to acquire, manage, provide, and disseminate information related to health sciences for the benefit of students and faculty.

Library Resources:

The library boasts a comprehensive collection of books covering fundamental categories such as basic sciences, dental materials, dentistry specialties, dental hygiene, dental machinery, and essential materials for postgraduate entrance examinations (both national and foreign). Additionally, the library offers access to journals (both print and online), periodicals, and dissertations.

Services Facilities:

Document Circulation Services: Books are issued to undergraduate and postgraduate students, research scholars, and faculty members. Bound/unbound journals, audiovisual materials, and CDs are meant for in-library use only.

Reference Services: Library staff assists members in interpreting the library collection for study and research, helping locate information from available sources, including the central library of CMC.

Photocopier Services: The library provides photocopies of journal articles and textbooks on demand.

Computer Services: Members have access to internet browsing, online journal access, and facilities for creating presentation materials.

CD-ROM Services: The library's CD-ROM collection includes extensive databases with volumes of medical journals, articles, and textbooks.

Current Awareness Services: The library keeps users informed about recent advances in health sciences by acquiring and displaying the latest books/journals for reference.

Department Libraries: Functioning under the central control of the main library, department libraries support routine hospital work, meet postgraduate requirements, and provide immediate/routine references.

Sports Facilities:

Christian Dental College boasts diverse outdoor and indoor sports facilities, including volleyball, basketball, throwball, cricket, badminton, table tennis, carrom, and chess. University teams actively participate in tournaments organized by the institution, and an Annual Athletic Meet engages students from all five colleges.

Hostel Facilities:

Christian Dental College Separate hostel accommodations are available for men and women, overseen by the Hostel Warden. The Hostel Mess offers high-quality vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. A recreation room within the hostel premises provides a space for students to watch television, and the Students' Council collaborates with the Warden to ensure a seamless hostel experience.

CDC Ludhiana's IT infrastructure is world-class and laced with the latest technology. It enables the students to get familiar with the changing dynamics of technology in their field.
