CSC Mumbai Admission Criteria for 2022:

Admission to courses at Chandrabhan Sharma College of Arts, Science, and Commerce (CSC Mumbai) is based entirely on merit scored in the previous qualifying examination. Candidates applying for any course must have obtained a minimum of 45% in their 12th standard or equivalent exams.

Minimum Admission Requirements for B.Sc. (IT):

  1. For Direct Entry to First Year:

    • Candidates must have passed the XII Standard Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent.
    • Mathematics must be one of the subjects.
    • A minimum aggregate of 45% marks is required for Open category candidates, and 40% aggregate for Reserved category candidates, obtained in one sitting.
  2. For Direct Entry to Second Year:

    • Candidates who have completed a Diploma in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Technology/Information Technology/Electrical, Electronic and Allied Branches, Mechanical and Allied Branches, Civil and Allied Branches of Engineering after S.S.C. (Xth) are eligible.
    • The Diploma must be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government body.
    • Minimum marks required: 45% aggregate for Open category candidates and 40% aggregate for Reserved category candidates.
  3. For Direct Entry to Second Year (Post H.S.C. Diploma):

    • Students with post-H.S.C. Diploma in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Technology/Information Technology and allied branches are eligible.
    • The Diploma must be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government body.

Students with I.C.S.E. etc. from other Boards:

Students who have passed the I.C.S.E. or any other examination conducted by a statutory Board other than the Maharashtra State Board for Secondary Education are required to obtain an Eligibility Certificate from the Bombay Divisional Board Office. The office is currently located at Jogelkarwadi Municipal Primary School Building, Sion, Mumbai – 400 022.

For admission to the First Year Junior College (F.Y.J.C.) class, students should submit the following documents:

  • Original School Leaving Certificate
  • Original S.S.C./I.C.S.E. or any other equivalent examination mark-sheet
  • One photocopy of the S.S.C./I.C.S.E. or any other equivalent examination mark sheet

The Original School Leaving Certificate will be retained by the College as a permanent record. The Original S.S.C. mark sheet will be returned to the candidate after the Government admission centers are closed.
