Management of Food Production and Beverage Services

Our culinary laboratory is equipped with both indigenous and imported equipment, providing an authentic experience reminiscent of a central kitchen in a 5-star hotel. Students gain exposure to identifying various equipment and ingredients, exploring different cooking methods, mastering basic culinary arts, and more. The kitchen is divided into hot and cold sections, featuring appliances such as griller, microwave oven, tandoor pot, toaster, blast chillers, piloted range, and refrigerators. This lab not only offers demonstrations for real-life scenarios but also evaluates the cooking abilities and pressure-handling skills of each participating student.

Our modern and spacious kitchen emphasizes the nutritional value of food, aiding in the design of a balanced diet menu. Practical classes play a crucial role in fostering thoughtful learning, allowing students to maximize their understanding. The hands-on approach in these classes makes it easier for students to learn and develop their skills, providing a clear understanding of lecture materials. The bakery lab, led by a specialized chef, utilizes advanced machinery and technologies for training in basic bakery and confectionery skills.

In the restaurant, designed to international standards, students experience both fine dining and fast-food concepts with world-class cutlery, crockery, and glassware. The restaurant setting offers students valuable insights into the food service industry, providing training in managing dining room operations, running a bustling kitchen, and ensuring food quality before serving customers.

Transportation Facility

Chennais Amirta boasts a well-maintained transportation facility with a fleet of 10 buses, catering to the needs of hostel students during educational tours and industrial visits. The hostel infrastructure provides a "home away from home" experience, offering airy and ventilated rooms, 24-hour power backup, and AC and non-AC rooms with attached bathrooms. The hostel also includes transportation facilities for students at scheduled timings.

Accommodation

Facilities include accommodation on a first-come, first-served basis, separate facilities for girls and boys, a mess providing nourishing food, and various amenities like furniture, RO water, coffee/tea provisions, and security measures.

In the housekeeping lab, students are trained with mechanical, manual, and automatic equipment to deliver premium residential experiences. The training replicates a star hotel room, covering bed-making, cleanliness schedules, and customer satisfaction.

The front office, designed as a lobby, serves as the nerve center of the hotel, offering practical exposure to working in the front office department. With modern amenities, the front office becomes a platform for students to learn guest welcoming, greeting gestures, and effective communication.

Classrooms
