Admissions for all courses are conducted online and are solely based on merit. For Ph.D. programs, admission is determined by the marks obtained in CSJMUET, followed by an interview round. The entrance test consists of MCQs, each carrying 4 marks, with a maximum score of 400. There is a negative marking of one mark for incorrect answers. Candidates must secure a minimum of 50% marks to qualify for the entrance test (some may qualify based on grace marks).
The admission process involves the following steps:
1. Interested students must register for the courses through the admission link provided on the official college website. Upon successful registration, candidates receive a login ID and password on their registered mobile number.
2. Using the provided credentials, candidates can log in to the admission portal and complete the admission form by providing the necessary details. The completed admission form should be saved for future reference.
3. Once the merit list is published, selected candidates must pay the course fees within the specified timeframe. Failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of admission.
4. After fee payment, document verification takes place at the college. Candidates need to submit self-attested copies of required documents, including the previous year's mark sheets and the printout of the online application form. The self-attested copies must be countersigned by parents.
5. If the document verification is successful, the candidate will receive an admission letter. Subsequently, students must present the original documents to the admission committee for further verification.
6. Admitted students are also required to generate a web registration number on the official website of Kanpur University (C.S.J.M.U).
