Fellowship Programs and Certificate Courses

Admissions to both BDS and MDS programs are contingent upon the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the National Board of Examinations. The admission process for these programs is facilitated through a counseling process conducted by the competent authority. Fellowship programs and Certificate courses focus on enhancing skills in various dental specialties. BDS Program:

Duration: 4 years with a 1-year internship.

Number of seats offered: 40.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must:

Be 17 years old at admission or attain this age by December 31 of the admission year.

Be medically fit for the course and dental practice.

Have passed the Karnataka II PUC examination or an equivalent examination in CBSE, ICSE, or State Boards with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects and English as one of the languages. 

Have secured a minimum of 50% marks in these three subjects and English combined (40% for SC/ST candidates).

Applicants are required to submit specified original documents to the CIDS Deanery upon receiving the admission allotment letter.

MDS Program:

Duration: 3 years.

Number of seats offered: CIDS offers Post Graduate Dental programs in all nine specialties of dentistry.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have:

Completed their Undergraduate Dental education in India from a recognized dental college/institute.

Completed Compulsory Rotatory Internship by March 31, 2024.

Obtained permanent registration with the Dental Council of India or any State Dental Council.

Nobel Biocare Fellowship:

CIDS, in collaboration with NOBEL BIOCARE from Sweden, offers advanced implant education. The Institute has trained over 100 doctors through IPP, awarding them the NOBEL FELLOWSHIP.

International Admission:

Candidates with foreign qualifications must obtain an 'Equivalence Certificate' from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.  Various documents, including a valid passport and student visa, are required for verification.

7. Apply for state counseling based on the qualifying rank.
8. The state government will conduct Registration, Verification, and Counselling according to the state rank.
9. Approach the CIDS Deanery with the admission allotment letter and relevant documents.
