Coimbatore Institute of Technology B.E & B.Tech Admission

For admissions to BE/B. Tech courses, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is administered by Anna University. Only applicants from Tamil Nadu are eligible for consideration. Admission to the preferred engineering stream is based on the percentage achieved in the 12th-grade examination.

Preference is given to candidates with high marks in the HSC examination. Admission to various engineering colleges is solely based on the TNEA Rank List, with counseling conducted by Anna University.

TNEA application forms are available in both offline and online formats. Online applications can be completed on the official website, while offline forms can be obtained from designated TNEA centers.

Admissions at the college are granted through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) conducted by Anna University. Eligibility for TNEA is restricted to candidates who have completed their HSC from Tamil Nadu.

However, candidates from Tamil Nadu who have completed their HSC (Class 12th) from other states may also apply, provided they submit a nativity certificate during counseling.

Coimbatore Institute of Technology PG Admission

Admission to the ME/M. Tech course at the Institute is based on candidates' performance in the TANCET entrance examination conducted by Anna University. Final admission decisions are made solely based on TANCET scores.

The TANCET exam is conducted offline. Counseling is scheduled to take place in the last week of April or the first week of May and will be conducted offline. Candidates are required to be present at the counseling centers with relevant documents.

For MCA admissions, candidates must have passed a recognized Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration with mathematics at 10+2 level or the Graduate level. They should have obtained at least 50% (45% for reserved category candidates) in the qualifying degree examination, following one of the specified patterns.

• To be eligible for admission, a candidate must have completed the B.Tech/B.E degree examination from Anna University or its equivalent institution with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).

• Bachelor's degree holders are required to take either the GATE or TANCET entrance examination.

• Admission to M.E./M. Tech degree courses are conducted through centralized counseling organized by Anna University.

Reservation Criteria:

69% of the total seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories, while the remaining 30-31% of seats are open for general competition.
