1. Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), conducted by Anna University is the admission process for admission to BE degree courses in Engineering Colleges of Tamil Nadu.
2. Application forms for TNEA can be filled out either online or offline.
3. Minimum eligibility for BE courses is at least 50% marks in HSC with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
4. In TNEA admission is based on a merit list. The ranks in the merit list are provided based on the percentage obtained in 10+2 by the candidates.
5. Applicants for the ME degree course must have a BE/ B.tech degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
6. For admissions, to ME courses, the state-level offline entrance exam TANCET is conducted by Anna University. However, GATE scorecards are also accepted.

1. For admissions into the BE course, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is conducted by Anna University. Candidates who have passed HSC with 50% marks (45% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST) in PCM subjects are eligible to apply.
2. They must have done Class 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th from an institute located in Tamil Nadu. However, if an applicant belongs to Tamil Nadu but has passed these classes in any other state, then he/she is required to produce a “Nativity Certificate" during the counseling process.
3. The admission will be done through the TNEA Merit/ Rank list only. The rank list is prepared based on the marks in the PCM subjects reduced to 200 i.e. Mathematics 100, Physics +Chemistry =100. The counseling for admission will be organized by Anna University.
