- A pass in 10+2 from a recognized Board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects is required for the B.Tech program.
- For admission to B.Tech and B.Tech Lateral Entry, candidates have to apply through the Haryana State Technological Education Society (HSTES).
- For B.Tech (Regular), the admissions are offered based on JEE Main score followed by counseling conducted by HSTES.
- For B.Tech (Lateral Entry), the candidates have to qualify for the Haryana Lateral Entry Entrance Test (LEET).
- For admission to M.Tech, the candidates with valid GATE scores are given preference.

For B.Tech:
- For online applications, visit the official website of HSTES.
- Register for online counseling concerning the JEE Main score.
- The registration fee is INR 500 only.
- For offline applications, procure the application form from the HSTES office.
- Make a cheque or cash payment while procuring the form.
- Fill out the form and attach the documents and photos as required.
- Send the completed form to the HSTES address by post before the last date of application.
For M.Tech: The mode of application is offline.
- The prospectus can be downloaded from the University’s website.
- The application form can be filled out online through the University’s website or admission portal.
- Pay the application fee of INR 600 (INR 150 for SC/BC/Blind candidates of Haryana) by Credit Card, Debit Card, or through Net Banking.
- Upload a copy of Aadhar or 10+2 DMC along with the online application Form.
