Facilities and Infrastructure

The infra at DIETis well furnished and air-cooled. The Library spread across 400 sq. mts provides for a wide collection of over 7707 Books and several national and international periodicals encompassing the entire gamut of the discipline of engineering. The library also provides access to a wide range of electronic resources. The Central Seminar Hall is the venue for all the important events at DIET. The year 2008 can be earmarked as the year in which this seminar hall established its presence and value for the Institute by holding many events and functions. South Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, hygienically prepared by trained chefs is served every day to suit all. The Menu is designed taking into consideration the nutritional and calorific requirements of the student. High emphasis is placed on Quality and Quantity. Separate dining facilities are provided for men and women.

Transportation

The transport facility of DIET is involved in providing a safe and comfortable commute for students and faculty members. Buses also support conducting industrial visits, placement drives, and camps conducted or organized outside the college.

Library

The centralized A/C library meets the teaching and research needs of the student community and teachers. The library offers modern tools for access to information and providing quality knowledge to users. The Knowledge hub has a seating capacity of 150+ members with a maintained record of 17854 Textbooks, Circulations, Reference books, Journals, Newspapers & Magazines, previous question papers, reprography services, and a Digital library. 

Sports

The DIET campus provides ample opportunities for encouraging their participation in several indoor and outdoor games. A large playground in the college enables activities like cricket, football, basketball, kabaddi, kho-kho, throwball, shuttle, Table Tennis, chess, carom, and other sports. The gymnasium is loaded with modern machines for weight training and exercises. Skilled instructors for guidance are available free of cost to students.
