Directorate Of Distance Education, I.K Gujral Punjab Technical University (DDE, Jalandhar) To actively reach out to the corporate world to facilitate the best placements for IKG-PTU students, the University has a Corporate Relations& Alumni department. The main endeavor of CR&A Cell, IKG-PTU is to get students placed in reputed multinationals, government Organizations, NGOs, and the private sector. All students registered with CR&A Cell are provided placement assistance, counseling for employment, and self/Social entrepreneurship. The CR&A Cell assures logistic support to the visiting companies at every stage of the placement process by making university infrastructure available to them. The CR&A Cell acts as an interface between the industry and the students and primarily enables the students to select from their career options. The CR&A Cell also conducts career-related seminars and workshops to enable the students to become successful professionals.

T&P Cell, IKG PTU is the nodal point of contact for companies seeking students from IKGPTU campuses and its affiliated colleges for training and placement. T&P Office organizes Joint Campus Placement Drive(s) of various MNCs at the University Campus and its affiliated colleges. University also works in collaboration with various industrial associations like the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Punjab Chamber of Commerce and Industries (PCCI), The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE Chandigarh), Jalandhar Management Association (JMA), Chandigarh Management Association (CMA), etc. to provide best employment opportunities to the students.
