Admission Policy:
We adhere to the Government of India's Reservation Policy, contingent on student availability in categories like OBC/SC/ST/Physically Challenged/Ex-Servicemen/Sports.
Policy for NRI and Overseas Students:
Non-Resident Indians (NRI)/Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Foreign students attending Deemed Universities must comply with the Guidelines/Regulations set by the Commission.
NRI/Foreign Students Admission Procedure:
1. Complete the admission procedure and relevant admission form
2. Submit all required documents
3. Pay the processing, eligibility, and tuition fees
4. The subjects for Foreign Students/NRI are the same as those prescribed in the admission rules and regulations of the Deemed University.s.
Dr. MGRERI Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate
1. Applicants must have completed 10+2 years of formal schooling.
2. Applicants should meet the eligibility criteria specified in the admission guidelines.
3. Academic performance evidence must be provided through certified English transcripts showing all courses with grades or marks.
4. Transcripts in languages other than English will not be accepted.
Dr. MGRERI Eligibility Criteria for Postgraduate
1. Applicants must have completed 10+2 years of formal education.
2. A Bachelor's Degree of at least three years duration is required.
3. Admission is competitive, and applicants with an excellent academic record have a better chance of acceptance.
Dr. MGRERI Procedure for Applying
Procedure for Applying and Seeking Equivalence Certificate:
Foreign/NRI student applicants must include an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) in their admission application.
Required documents for the Equivalence Certificate:
1. Degree/Certificates with year-wise Academic Transcripts authenticated by the Indian Embassy in the country or its Foreign Mission in India.
2. Accreditation status of the last attended University/Institute.
3. Copies of academic certificates from Higher Secondary onwards where necessary.
4. The fee for the Equivalence Certificate should be paid through a Demand Draft favoring the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.
5. Applications will only be considered upon submission of the Equivalence Certificate from AIU.
Provisional Offer of Admission:
1. Eligible students will receive a provisional eligibility letter based on course availability.
2. This letter facilitates obtaining a Student Visa from the Indian Mission in the applicant's home country.
3. Admission confirmation requires producing a Student Visa endorsed to our University, contingent on course availability.
4. Students must report within the specified timeframe mentioned in the Provisional Admission letter.
5. The Student Visa should be endorsed for joining a full-time course, valid for the course duration.
6. Submission of a fitness certificate from a qualified Medical Practitioner or one nominated by our University.
7. Adequate Medical Insurance coverage is mandatory.
8. Foreign/NRI students must register with the District Foreigner Registration Officers/Foreigners Regional Registration Officers within 14 days of their arrival in India.
9. Documents required for registration include a photocopy of the passport and visa, four photographs, details of residence in India, and an HIV/AIDS/COVID-19 test report from a WHO-recognized institution.
Dr. MGRERI Payment Methods for Fee
Candidates who are selected must pay the fees as specified in the Admission Form. Payment can be made in cash, through NEFT, or by Demand Draft favoring Dr. MGR Educational and Research Institute, payable at Chennai. Please note that fees once paid are non-refundable under any circumstances.
