Dr. Somervell Memorial CSI Medical College And Hospital Admission 2023-24

MCC conducts the NEET UG 2023 Counseling and NEET PG 2023 Counseling for admission to 15% MBBS Seats and 50% MD Seats under All-India Quota at GMC Ernakulam. Candidates who have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the above subjects are eligible to apply for the MBBS course. Candidates belonging to the SC / ST / other backward categories are eligible to apply for the MBBS course if they have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in the 10+2 examination in the above-mentioned subjects. Candidates who have completed an MBBS degree from a recognized institute and have completed one year of rotating internship are eligible to apply for the MD and MS courses. Admission to the MBBS course is done based on the NEET UG entrance examination. Candidates applying to the MD and MS courses are also required to register themselves with the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council at the time of application. Admission to MD and MS is done based on the NEET PG entrance examination. The seats will be allotted through the NEET counseling process.

Dr. Somervell Memorial CSI Medical College and Hospital offers the MBBS course at the undergraduate level which is of a five-year duration. For MBBS, candidates who have completed their 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects. Applicants are also required to have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) in aggregate in the 10+2 board examination. Dr. Somervell Memorial CSI Medical College and Hospital offers MD and MS courses at the postgraduate level. The MD course is offered under 6 specializations and the MS course is offered under 5 specializations. For PG courses, applicants are required to be holders of an MBBS degree from a recognized institute and are also required to have completed one year of rotating internship to be considered eligible. Apart from these criteria, candidates are also required to have registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI) / State Medical Council (SMC) to be considered eligible. Admission to the MD and MS courses is done based on the applicants’ performance in the NEET (PG) entrance examination, which is conducted at the national level.
