The English & Foreign Languages University Library is a resource centre for academic and research activities in the areas of language teaching, linguistics and literature in English and Foreign Languages. The library also has a good collection of materials in the fields of Journalism and Mass Communication, Philosophy, Psychology, Religion, Sociology, Arts, Film Studies and History. A state-of-the-art library, it supports the academic work at the university by providing both print and digital resources. The entire collection of 1,72,773 books and back volumes of Journals have been automated and the same can be accessed with the help of Web- OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue). The library has digitized the entire EFL-University theses collection and the full text of theses can be accessed within the campus.
The English & Foreign Languages University provides hostel facilities for everyone who is not a resident of Hyderabad. There are 5 different hostels inside the campus. Indian students have 3 hostels (1 for men, and 2 for women) while foreigners have 2 hostels, one for boys and another for girls. The university has 2 different places to eat - the mess and the canteen. The mess fee usually ranges from Rs. 2,000/- to 2,500/- per month. There is quite a variety of dishes prepared every week. However, the non-veg items are restricted to 3 meals per week.
The English & Foreign Languages University Press was established in 1977 to publish and disseminate the learned work and teaching materials brought out by the institution. The catalogue of publications, ranging from research monographs to audio and print material for learners of English and foreign languages taught at the University, is a record of the vibrant academic output of the faculty.
Now that the Press attached to the Publications Unit has been provided with state-of-the-art equipment, an ambitious programme of publications is under way. The equipment of Press includes a two-colour offset printing machine in addition to a single-colour offset printing machine. The Press also has a complete binding unit, namely a folding machine, a perfect binding machine, a lamination machine, a perforating machine and a digital cutting machine. The Suprasetter CtP equipment is perhaps the only one of its kind in the printing industry.
