GKMIMST has constructed its own Ship-In-Campus training facility on the academy campus itself. This ship-in-campus training facility is available only at a few training colleges all over the world and it gives real-time training for the Aspiring Mariner.
GKMIMST has a full-fledged ship-in-campus(SIC) to simulate the natural working environment of a ship, for training. The SIC provides training for functions carried out on a ship so that the cadets can avail hands-on practical experience.
GKMIMST Simulators Training Facilities students are given training in Engine Room Simulator as value-added training along with their Pre-sea training courses.
The classrooms are fully furnished, spacious, air-conditioned, and well-equipped with audiovisuals like Multimedia, and Wi-Fi. Our classroom sessions are supported by group discussions, case studies, paper presentations, managerial games, etc., along with Practical/industrial visits.
The classrooms are spacious and well-ventilated with air conditioning. The classrooms are provided with modern teaching aids. The drawing classroom is provided with drawing boards and high-rise stools.
GKMIMST has a state-of-the-art computer center, air-conditioned, with 40 systems networked and with adequate software required for the course.
GKMIMST Library Facilities Knowledge is the only asset that a person can possess, gain, distribute, and practice without any depreciation but only appreciation. What more can be offered than a library with a good collection of texts and material of knowledge under one roof? Keeping this in view GKMIMST has set up a library with a collection of over 5000 texts, periodicals, and references authored by various nationals and experts. In addition, it subscribed to more than a dozen magazines and journals of national and International repute, relevant to the subject. The library has a good collection of electronic copies of various topics related to Marine Science and Marine Engineering.
The library is spacious, well-lit, and air-conditioned. It is equipped with computers, a scanner, and a photocopier. Sufficient copies are available for use by the cadets.
GKMIMST has all in-house laboratories as per the guidelines. It has gone a step further by setting up a state-of-the-art lab for advanced experiments, and practices in automation and control, hydraulics, and pneumatics. The following laboratories have been set up in spacious, multistoried buildings located within the campus.

GKMIMST Hostel Facilities believes that " A healthy mind always resides in a healthy body". A healthy body is maintained by a healthy atmosphere and surroundings. The hostel is located in a serene environment in the lap of nature within the campus. The rooms are spacious and well-furnished, and special care has been taken to ensure sufficient ventilation and air supply. Each block has its common room, toilets baths, etc. The hostel is provided with a standby Green Generator.
GKMIMST Sports Facilities has developed elaborate recreational facilities for the cadets. A fully equipped Gym is available for cadets. Outdoor games like, football, basketball, volleyball, tennis etc. are encouraged. For indoor games, table tennis, caroms, chess, badminton, etc. are provided. In addition to these, a Swimming Pool is being constructed. Special care is taken for a multifaceted overall development of the cadets to ensure a healthy and happy person to undergo his training.
GKMIMST takes pride in having one of the best training workshops. The central workshop is spread over a sprawling area of 1200 sqm. And divided into sections housing the following shops,

The workshop is equipped with modern machinery and tools. The workshop is ergonomically designed and well-ventilated. All necessary safety precautions/measures have been incorporated.
GKMIMST Tutorial Rooms Facilities In addition to the general classrooms, spacious and well-furnished tutorial rooms are provided for tutorial classes and studies. The cadets may use the tutorial rooms for studies and discussions during off-classroom hours. The tutorial rooms are kept open at all times on all days for the benefit of the cadets.
