Fixing a Schedule and slot allocation
The Placement Cell then fixes dates with various recruiters for conducting the placement drive and the slots are allocated to different recruiters on mutual agreement and the schedule is notified to the students.
Candidates interested in participating in the placement drive have to register for participation and they have to submit their updated resumes along with all the necessary documents.
Companies have to visit Gaya College on a fixed date and firstly they deliver a pre-placement talk for the students so that they are well aware of the basic policies followed by the company and help the students to clear all their queries.
Candidates are shortlisted based on the specific academic requirements as demanded by the recruiters which are known as pre-hiring demands such as minimum percentage, etc. and the shortlisted candidates are part of the further placement process.
After the pre-placement talk has been delivered and the resumes of the interested candidates are shortlisted according to the eligibility criteria, various tests are conducted by the companies to judge the Quantitative aptitude, Logical ability, English competency, Domain knowledge, and Suitability toward specific skill sets of the potential students and students are shortlisted accordingly.
Students clearing the screening tests conducted by the recruiters will further have to participate in Group Discussions which may be on any topic, it can be a social, political, business-related topic, etc. wherein candidates have to voice their opinion and present their thoughts in front of the interviewers and based on their participation in the Group Discussion, candidates are shortlisted.
Shortlisted candidates have to appear for the interviews taken by the companies. Interviews namely Technical Interviews, HR Interviews, etc. are some of the interviews taken by the interviewers to judge the overall personality of the potential candidate and candidates who qualify for the personal interview are finally selected in the placement drive.
