Admission 2024-25 - Government Home Science College

Admission Eligibility Criteria:

For B.Sc. Home Science (Semester I), candidates eligible for consideration must have successfully passed the +2 examination under the 10+2 education system from recognized boards such as CBSE, Board of School Education, Punjab/Haryana/Himachal Pradesh, or any equivalent thereof.  Candidates must have studied English as a compulsory subject during their qualifying examination.

For various M.Sc. programs in Home Science:

M.Sc. Home Science (Clothing and Textiles) - Semester I: Applicants can qualify if they possess a B.Sc. Home Science degree or its equivalent in streams like Apparel and Textile Design, Composite, Dietetics, Human Development and Family Relations, Human Development, or Interior Design Management from Panjab University.  Additionally, candidates with a degree in B.Sc. Fashion Designing/Fashion and Lifestyle Technology from Panjab University or any equivalent to the courses offered by Panjab University are eligible. A minimum aggregate score of 50% in the aforementioned courses is required.

M.Sc. Home Science (Foods and Nutrition) - Semester I:

Eligibility extends to candidates holding a B.Sc. Home Science degree or its equivalent in various streams like Apparel and Textile Design, Composite, Dietetics, Human Development and Family Relations, Human Development, or Interior Design Management recognized by Panjab University.  Furthermore, individuals with degrees in fields such as B.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics, Food & Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, and Food Science & Nutrition, among others, meeting the minimum aggregate mark requirement of 50%, are eligible.

M.Sc.  Home Science Human Development - Semester I:

Prospective candidates should hold a B.Sc. Home Science degree or an equivalent in streams like Apparel and Textile Design, Composite, Dietetics, Human Development and Family Relations, Human Development, or Interior Design Management recognized by Panjab University.  Additionally, individuals with degrees in various disciplines such as B.Sc. (Honours) Home Science, Community Science, Family & Community Science, or Integrated Family & Community Science, with a minimum aggregate score of 50% in the relevant courses, are eligible for consideration. 

Government Home Science College, Chandigarh Admission Open 2024-25

Government Home Science College Admission 2024 is open for all UG and PG courses for the academic session 2024-25. The application fee for Bhartiya Skill Development University is INR 1,000 to 2,500 depending on courses that you will choose.
