GITAM Admission 2026 for B.Tech, B.Pharm, and B.Arch Programs

GITAM offers undergraduate courses in Engineering and Technology, Architecture, and Pharmacy, including B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Pharm. Eligible candidates must have successfully completed their 10+2 examination with a minimum aggregate of 60% (with 50% in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry/Biology) from a recognized Central/State Board or its equivalent.

Admission to B.Tech and B.Pharm courses is based on the marks obtained in GAT(UGTP). For those aspiring to join the B.Arch program, qualification in NATA or JEE (Main) is mandatory.

Selection Process:

GITAM conducts the GAT (UGTP) to facilitate admission to B.Tech, B.Pharm, and B.Arch programs across Vishakhapatnam, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru campuses. The rank list will be declared within 10 days after the completion of the GAT. Additionally, 25% of the seats in GAT are reserved for exceptional students from Karnataka for admission to the Bengaluru campus.

Exemption from GAT:

Central and state board toppers are eligible for direct admission without taking the GAT. However, candidates applying for Engineering and Pharmacy courses must apply on a priority basis within the University.

Pattern of GAT (UGTP):

The GAT (UGTP) is a 2-hour test comprising three sections with multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each correct answer is awarded two marks, while one mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. The test is conducted exclusively in online mode.
