GKMCET B.Tech/B.E. Admission
Admission to the B.Tech/B.E. program is primarily based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations. The essential eligibility requirement for this program is a 12th-grade education in the Science stream with a minimum of 50% marks, having Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.
Candidates who hold a B.Sc. degree or a Diploma in Engineering with at least 55% marks from the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu, or an equivalent institution are eligible for lateral admissions to the program.
Key Points to Note:
1. There is a 5% relaxation in marks for BC/BCM candidates and a 10% relaxation for MBC/SC/SCA/ST candidates in the qualifying examination.
2. During the counseling process, candidates should verify seat availability based on their ranking in the TNEA conducted by Anna University and their merit in the qualifying examination.
3. The college also offers lateral entry to the second year of B.E./B.Tech. programs. GKMCET Application Process
GKM College of Engineering and Technology in Chennai is now accepting Registration Forms for its B.Tech./B.E., MBA, MCA, and M.Tech/M.E. programs through both online and offline modes. The admission process is consistent across all programs offered by the college.
Candidates interested in the B.E./B. Tech program should register for TNEA online by May 31, 2024. For M.E./M. Tech admissions, candidates are required to take the annual TANCET exam conducted by Anna University. Admission to PG programs at GKMCET is based on TANCA counseling.
