Government Polytechnic Amravati offers accommodation for both male and female students. The institute has one Boys Hostel established in 1955, with a capacity to house 167 students. Additionally, there are two Girls Hostels; one commenced in 1996-97 with a capacity for 52 students, and another inaugurated in 2016-17 with space for 50 girl students. These hostels are well-equipped with amenities such as a color TV in the common mess hall, newspaper stands, and a spacious playground for recreational activities. The boys' hostel also features a gymnasium with various exercise equipment. Hot water facilities are available through solar water heating systems with a capacity of 3000 liters for both hostels. Furthermore, there are water coolers with RO purifiers for the student's convenience. The boys' hostel operates a cooperative mess facility managed by the students on a non-profit basis, while the girls' hostel mess operates on a contract basis.

GP Library

GP boasts a standalone Library Building spanning an area of 3550 sq.m, including a reading space of 150 sqm. The library houses a vast collection of resources, including over 1 lakh books, journals, video cassettes, CDs, and DVDs covering diverse fields such as science, engineering, humanities, literature, and management. Library operations are partially computerized using Libman software, facilitating efficient access to resources. Moreover, the institute is a member of the "National Digital Library," providing access to e-contents. Book Bank facilities are available to all students, with necessary funds provided by the State Ministry for book purchases.
